Star Trek: TOS

The 20th century Roman Empire in "Bread and Circuses" has a lot of magazines...

Again appearing on screens, but formatted like print documents...

Mitchell's Spinoza from "Where No Man..."

Mitchell and Dehner's medical records... these are obviously scanned paper documents, with handwritten notations.

There is also the Gary Seven map and documents that was being discussed a while back in the main prop forum.

Good work, phase! Now I hope some intrepid, enterprising, valiant hood out there can produce some files for us to print! ;)

Sally Kellerman = 5'10"
Elizabeth Dehner = 5'2"

:wacko

LOL!
I love this stuff. I have never gone back to look at screen grabs like these, they are excellent!
"Delman" and "Eldman" streets, same street numbers used. This supports what Matt Jefferies said about numbers being legible, etc. (Why we see 1701 and 1017, et. al. on starships) I would guess these were chosen as they would be less legible?

It's pretty amazing that there is so much detail in these as they would have never dreamed they would be read by the public. They could have been Lorem Ipsum or inside jokes or utter nonsense, for that matter! I guess there were clear enough shots for some legibility, but still!
Also both Dehner and Mitchell are from "News..." something state.

Damn I wish Gene or Bob Justman were around to ask about this stuff!
Anyone heard from John Dwyer lately?

Oh yeah, not to fall too far off track (sorry!) but "My Love Has Wings" was a poem written by Gene Roddenberry while in the service (about his plane, ostensibly.)
He actually wrote quite a bit of poetry while serving in WWII and some of it was printed (maybe in Stars and Stripes? Can't remember now...)

I think MicDavis has done all the Gary Seven docs and is working on the map...:D

The semi-repetition on the ID cards is indeed perplexing.
As for the starship numbers, that happened because the Constellation was an AMT model kit, and at the time the decal sheet only had the numbers for the Enterprise (the "build the entire fleet!" sheet came later).

Yes, that's true!
I mean the choice pf those four numbers at all was something he said was just easy to read from far away.

I wonder of the cards were made with rub on letter or something to explain the re-use?
Maybe a stampt that they cut and re-used? So odd.

There are much better shots of the toothpaste ad and the car (The Jupiter8?)

Star Trek TOS Gary Seven id prop

Just a quick and dirty prop ID that I just did after watching the Gary Seven episode. Enjoy

This is the cover of Kirk's copy of A Tale of Two Cities from The Wrath of Khan. Should the TOS movies have their own thread? Anyway, I've included the whole cover for those who want to make a dust cover, and just the title block for those who have a copy of the actual book. Cover should be life size at 200 dpi. I managed to duplicate the original cover's pattern on the new title area.
