Just saw this. Around the time this was posted I got photos of an actual STV Nimbus 3 prop gun (covered in this thread [link]), but even though it's not the same gun. it might provide additional clues to anyone trying to recreate one, as I photographed various components of it at point-blank range.

The cylinder and valve are from a one man life raft. (common to most military aircraft)
