Sorry its been too long man, I don't normaly take this long to get to someone especialy when I have said I would get back to them, Sorry again.
As for tips and advice, well, get the glue gun nice and hot, if you apply the glue to quickly it wont take that well, leave the gun on for 10-15 minutes before using it for the first time. Also make sure you rub off any bits of glue that bleed out from the joints before they dry. Ducttape works well to hold pieces together until they are dry. Have several pieces of ducttape ready. Foam can be very forgiving, if you make a mistake don;t worry, you can just glue the piece you cut off back on and start again. Always use a sharp blade for cuts that will be left seen. Learn how to sharpen your scalpel blades.
One big tip about what NOT to do,, don't rush into any cuts, make sure you have a cutting board underneath properly, trust me you don;t want to cut through your wifes brand new table, (Sorry again sweetie)!..
