Strider / Aragorn Fellowship - Comprehensive prop and costume photo dump from Archives / Appendices

Montagar just built out the full list in the Media section Under Lord of the Rings, so remember to upload pics there as well. The list contains most of the major Fellowship characters including monsters and army types.

I'll gradually add what photos I have as well.

It would be great to have a category for props and weapons for each film that aren't attached to an induvial character.

The main Lotr, I would think would be best for posters, promotional materials and items like premier and similar but I can certainly ask for some others (after I fill this lot out) for props, weapons, but I would be at a loss for a naming method. Let me know what ideas you have for folder/album names. I could totally see doing cities, locations and specific rooms, like the great hall ornamentation at Rohan or Bilbo's possessions at Bag End. Signs would be another great one. I wouldn't mind creating some 3d files for routers and printers in the sign category. I don't know anyone who wouldn't love to have the prancing pony in their kitchen. Two of my absolute favorite collections in therpf are Return to Oz and Sarah's room in Labyrinth and neither of those is a costume nor carried props.

I agree. The main move sections for each title is good for generic items or locations.

But a few specific set locations like Bagend or Rivendell would be great. And 2D/3D files would be awesome as well!

Digging through the appendices, they have them broken up rather well, you just need to know what each race or characters are to find their weapons and armor.

I'd love to see what other people may have in terms of set photos, museum exhibits, etc.

Some of the ultra closeups are the original costume viewings by the producers. The have them in a video about the viewing process so I have been looking for that video again.

Here are some more higher resolution images I have of the costume and props.

Really wish WB would release the appendices in high-res someday.

The hi res images you are adding in the media section are amazing. Keep em coming. I might just make myself sick with adding all these possible projects that were untouchable before due to poor images to work from. Bravo!

I've been collecting images and photos for 20 years. I also have the 4k movies on my hard drive for instant access. Since prop making it has been a very valuable tool to have.

Weta also has a pretty large archive on their website for each of the films they have worked on, from concept to finished props and armor.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring Gallery | Wētā Workshop

The Lord of the Rings The Two Towers Gallery | Wētā Workshop

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King/Gallery | Wētā Workshop

But the more references the better!
