Tiger & Bunny Suit (armored ver. WIP)

Holy crap. I just started watching this, and came here looking on the off chance, that there might be a pep of their suits.

You have just made my day! keep up the great work I can't wait for this!

Hey, I started to make a blueprint about 20 minutes ago, I'm just thinking, before I start modeling, about how their helmet front lift up like an ironman helmet.. I will try and make a slide system in the modeling stages if I can.. if not I'm sure I can figure something out.
Anyway.. here's my blueprint for the helmet so far :)

Ah me too, but I don't get the idea how to make the faceplate can lift up. Too bad I'm not good in making mechanism :sleep

wow looking good :D but is that not too small?

I use 3ds max so the main blueprint doesnt need to be the correct size as I can scale the image and model to new dimensions, I'll be working roughly off of my dimensions. So I hope it should be universal to a degree.

Oh I see, good job man! I usually use macromedia flash for making blue print.

Looking forward for your 3D model :thumbsup

i'm planning a sky high costume in the future,
but i've got to say, i personally tagged tiger and bunny's hardsuits as damn near impossible, since so many of the areas of the armor are not practical for movement.
you are going to encounter a lot of places where you will want to pull out your hair, because real life physics dont work for the show's armor designs, but i wish you the best of luck, and i look forward to you perhaps proving me wrong that it's on the more 'impossible' scale

This is too awesome. I'd love to build and paint it like the prototype suits. Keep up the work and hopefully I will!!

Yeah man, If you run into any problems about movement issue maybe we can talk about them get them sorted out.

I don't wanna hijack your thread just thought you'd be interested in the helmet for wild tiger.. just about to add the head fin. :) Keep it up man, Inspired me to have a go.

yea I've though that before, when I modeling the body armor I've noticed too "Am I really can wear this, the proportion is kinda weird for real costume."

But at least let's we try this suit can be real or not :rolleyes I'll try to make the costume fit and easy to move :thumbsup

Don't get discouraged dude, this build will be awesome. Keep going, you're doing awesome.
thank you very much man, that support really make me on spirit!!!

FFUUUUUUUUU!!!!! you're amazing, looking beautiful man, hope we can finish this together :D
Your skill really drive me crazy :love
you gonna seperate the clear part don't you? if yes that's good coz I will use acrylic for the clear parts, so I'll attach it to helmet at the last. Oh and do you didn't make the parts inside the clear part?

btw sorry no update yesterday, this is oot but I'm just finished a 3D model PR Red Samurai helmet. It's a commission from my friend :p

Thank you for your kind words :D
I attached the fin as a whole mask just to see how it would all turn out.

I'll make a new version of the mask with the the jaw, face and fin are all seperate pieces. doing this will let the maker connect them later and give the mask the hinge we're looking for so the face can flip up :)

Great work, keep it up man :)

great, we have a same idea :thumbsup and I'm kinda jealous when looking your model, the detail is very good. Looks like I will start to learn 3Ds max :D do you know where I can get some good recommended tutorial for 3Ds Max?

And today update is the chest armor :)

Haha yeah version 2 will be after i've modeled the rest of the armour.
Youtube has some very useful tutorials for 3ds max, also the in-program tutorials are very good for basic modeling and animating, they range from novice up to quite in depth stuff :) Good luck with the suit and max. happy learning :D

Ikkakuro and Floatingfatman, you are both masters! Beautiful work on both of your behalves....

Thanks man :) That means a lot. This is my first ever model build process but it's going ok so far :)
I'm trying to pep and finish a full ironman suit for halloween and that sucks a lot of time out of my modeling cause it's my first full suit build.
I've tried making a halo helmet but that took a backseat due to uni... this suit and Iron man are my focus at the minute.

Ikkakuro inspired me to have a go at this and got me hooked on tiger and bunny, truely a master :lol

I got to be honest it's sooooooooo refreshing seeing another armored suit being built other then the plethora of iron man really rooting for you guys here can't wait to see what comes from this

Thank you judge, I'm still newbie here and need more experience, and I hope we can share our knowledge to each other here.
and I will try to answer every question about modeling and making costume from people here, so if I have any questions, other people can help me too :)

I have started to model the shin pieces :) I'll have something substantial to show you soon.
How's the build going?
nice, Tiger's shin is a little different than bunn'y shin. It's more rigid.
can't wait to see your latest model :)

well I'm still modeling the other parts, and just finished the arm cover
