Minor update:
Since more people are starting to receive Todd's kits, I thought I would post a quick followup to my thread. I stuck with my original methodology for replacing the Denix firing pin, but this time I opted to use very small files to shape the end slot. I used a round file to notch out the aluminum threaded piece, and a rectangular file to shape the steel rod. I'm pretty happy with the results:
I also received a metal front heatsink from DEC, but I need to blue it before swapping it out in place of the plastic cylinders. I will update again once that is done.
