Tony Stark's Monaco suit

Baron's still may be cheaper. I think they run $3-400. Not bad for a suit that you can dictate the details.

Don't know if you're a member but here's an FJ link to a the Oceans suit a member just had made.

Must say they've never made anything for me, but I've heard pretty good things. Can't remember anything terrible.

Thanks man, much apprieciated

I like that tie, anyone know anything about it or how you'd describe that print?

I haven't even started looking but I better :wacko

Actually, I have a suit very similar to his. I found it at Menswearhouse it was Ralph Lauren. I can post pictures of it later.

Shame you dont know anyone who can go to China or Hong Kong with those photos and your measurements and get a copy run up in a day!

I actually do lol. I don't think they will be going anytime before the SDCC though

I think I read that in this scene he wears the Superunknown glasses opposed to the All-in's... Which is weird because the next scene (race car scene), he's got his All-Ins on.

Yep he sure does. My guess is he switches to the All-in's when he puts on the racing suit. The SuperUnknown are more fashion glasses and I can see them being worn with the suit.

anybody got any good sources for ties and pocket squares?

Of course I want to get close to the tie in this pic.

I'll keep an eye out also, as I'm planning on working on the Monaco suit soon too so I've been trying to source it too.

You might be able to find a similar pocket square online, but my best guess is that they made it or it's designer. They are not hard to make and you probably will be able to find the fabric easier.

Here's a pretty cool tutorial I found and I'm sure there are plenty more around.

Hope it helps!

Zendragon,

You can find the tie at your local Barneys. It won't be an 'exact' match but the "duchamp" is very, very close. The version that I'm talking about isn't listed on their site. I saw it in our Barney's here in Chicago on Oak Street.

I'm pretty interested in the shoes he was wearing in this scene. Did anyone else notice them? They look like those old Italian high heeled loafers. They were pretty sweet!

Great thread guys, simply because I'm clothes ***** myself.

Thanks guys, great input.

I think with 5 weeks to go to SDCC, I am going to have to go for close at this point.

I wish there was a Barney's around here :unsure

That gives me something to hunt for!

Zen-

I saw a suit VERY close at... of all places... Target here in Milwaukee. Their suits are super inexpensive and the money you save buying the suit you can use to go to a tailor who will fit it for you. I think the jackets range in the 60.00 range and the pants in the 30.00 range. So take a look there.

With 5 weeks until the event I suggest you take a stop over to Magnoli Clothiers

With enough pictures and reference this guy can recreate anything. So you want that tie this my be your best bet. And for 65.00 it's worth a shot.

I have only seen the movie twice, but I thought I saw cowboy boots of all things. Could be wrong. Even so, whatever they chose probably was for height more than anything else.
