Top Shot on History Channel

That was a great finale! I thought it was awesome how close it was, made it pretty exciting! :thumbsup

I caught the show a few episodes behind, but I enjoyed it. I liked all the challenges they made, like shooting a burning wick, or shooting a rope tied to a guillotine, stuff you'd see in movies. :cool

The finale aired last night, and I have to admit I did not see that one coming. Looked like they had a good time! Anybody else watch it?

I was hoping that the contests in the finale would be with some new guns, but they made it interesting none the less.

I'm seriously considering applying for the second season.

Seriously? You didn't envision Iain aka James Bond, aka the SAS operative, sandbagging through the competition and sweeping it at the end? As soon as they showed all the contestants' occupations, I knew it would be between one of the LEO's and Iain the SAS guy, with my prediction being the SAS guy would take it.

Gotta say it was a great finale. I was hoping to see them have to do a few more stations, like shooting backwards with the mirrow, or tossing their own clay pigeons and shooting them. Felt bad for JJ choking so bad on the "you call it" stage. He got over excited.

Anyways, I'm with you on applying for next season - that looks like great fun!! Good mix of people. Just enough drama to be interesting, and slightly annoying. (ahem - Reservist sniper my butt. Plumber, sure - I see that.)

I believe they carefully chose their contestants in order to create drama and excitement. They intentionally chose people who were very strong in one area in order to create drama. There are many better shooters out there who are skilled in multiple disciplines.

I was suprised how unimpressive the ex military and swat guys are, they should be good with any guns but are only good with certain ones.

What I didn't see coming was just how close it was right up until the final shot. I didn't predict anybody in particular winning, but I figured JJ would be in the top 2. I figured it would be down to someone having a weapon malfunction, or someone not loading fast enough, and one or the other would pull ahead and the winner would become obvious before the end.

I also didn't want to like the show on principle, but I watched and episode and got hooked. I favored JJ and Ian for the finale, but the best man won I guess. Overall I really enjoyed it.
