Looks pretty awesome Annisse! Maybe a suggestion for your second katana, if you haven't noticed already, is that the glowing part of the blade is actually very small. Just a sliver of light encased in the same black material as the baton handle. All the toys screw this up, just making it look like a lightsaber and it drives me crazy. Can't wait to see the next one!

Hey guys, looking for a little input. I have all my body suit material and am going to start a sort of poor mans screen printing process for the hexagonal pattern. I was just wondering what you guys suggest for the color of the hexagons. It's so subtle that I am not sure whether to go with a gloss black, just enough of a difference without a pop, or with a dark grey. Any suggestions? I am curious as to what all of you have done thus far.
I went with a dark grey for my test material. Never did get around to producing it in mass scale. Maybe one of these days . . .

Hmm yeah, that's what I was thinking. Probably gonna go with the grey then. Looks awesome btw! Hopefully I can get mine to look even remotely as good.

Hey guys! It's been a while!
I decided that I'll be putting up a Mara costume (Tron:Uprising) for next year, and since the last time i did both quorra and rinzler discs out of cardboard I want to at least get a better replica. The thing is that the discs became a collector's item, and i've seen them go for as much as $100 and i can't afford that, especially if i want to modify it and get the rest of the lights e__e (they didn't even reach my country in the first place =/). I don't care if it's used, if anyone wants to sell their discs or have plastic copies of the originals please contact me!
What i dig about the caracters in uprising is that the design doesn't show much of an armour or diferent fabrics, so it's basically a black leotard with the lights sewn on
is anyone planning any uprising costumes?

I was thinking of making Rinzler from Tron Uprising. I like the design changes, even though there weren't many, haha. It's greatly simplified.
Not too sure on how I'm going to go about it though. Like you said, Luniwe... there's no details. lol It's just lights on a leotard.

Dyson there seems to have a a chest armour and few detals, also Mara seems to have a shoulder armour, but's it's very simple. Tron's suit has the lights but all the armour is gone (Rinzler doesn't exist yet =P)

However Rinzler, in the one episode he shows up in (as far as I know at least), doesn't really have any armor, aside from maybe his arms and shoulders. It's mostly flat with lights.

I already did the super detailed Tron Legacy version of his costume, so I'm really looking forward to a much less detailed version of Tron/Rinzler that I can have some fun with. I hope that makes sense. Actually, I just realized... I can use my circle lights in this version! Haha, I'm so excited! I couldn't use those lights for the Tron Legacy costume because I wouldn't have been able to sit. At least with this one I can slouch.

That's not Rinzler-Rinzler he's just Tron pretending to be evil in the first episode (technicisms) thats why he's hiding the T lights I guess.
Any ideas, offers, anything for the ID discs? i'm still searching, even resin casts of the parts would be much appreciated (anything but cardboard and gesso, not again plz haha)
Btw DisneyXD is driving me mad with their inconsistency with uprising!

You can make what ever you want - making a hybrid, taking items you like but with the intent it came form that world. Sometimes people get to stuck on the facts and forget to have fun. Details count but what you want counts more.

Thanks!A lot of people tend forget that this hobby is meant for fun, not perfection or popularity. What's the point in taking part in a hobby if you aren't enjoying yourself while doing it? Sure it keeps you busy and you learn new skills, but what matters is you and what you want. As long as you're enjoying yourself and you're proud of your work... then that's all that matters.

The costume looks a lil like castors but black with green light patterns using the tron t on the chest. Planning on a green and black wig with silver contacts. Calling it Lady Rinzler. I wanna know what u all think of this take on the costume. Design concept the grey is black.
Base suit: black lycra/ latex cat suit.
Over coat/ armour: matte vinyl
Lights: green LED using either shower curtain or foam to diffuse the light.
Discs: price wise depends on what I find there hard to find these days. I might mod the frisbees ton discs to have lights.
Mount: Inverted plunger with magnets
