Well, five months on, I didn't ever find a second copy, so I had to cut this one down and repaint it. I was pretty happy with the result, though. Using pros-aide, it affixed pretty well, but the nose and upper lip began to come up the more I sweated. I'm going to work with it more and try to get it to last longer. I've included pictures of the final result.
The "Harvey" half of the costume is an old Terzo Uomo wool-blend suit. The left "Two-Face" side was entirely custom printed, primarily using the website Contrado. I tried to recreate the shimmer and red/magenta/purple gradient the original Forever suit had to it. While it's not 1:1 identical, I'm still very pleased with the result. The magenta tiger-stripe portion was printed on Contrado's "velvet shimmer" fabric. The yellow leopard print half of the shirt I had done in silk. For the lapel/pocket-liner material I used Spoonflower's poly-satin, as I liked the look better (I liked the price better, too, haha). I hired a seamstress to sew the material. The lapel isn't the correct shape, but it was too late to fix in time for my state's cons. I want to get it more screen-accurate, and, eventually, will.
The wig also isn't the best, but it was done literally last minute and worked... well enough. Though it's something I'd like eventually to improve, too. The gun (based on Two-Face's custom Benelli MP95) was 3D-printed and I used Alclad via airbrush to chrome it. The left shoe was customized as well--A silver boot-tip (with a skull) was added and skull-buckles put on either side with studs added to the heel. The glove I found on Amazon and was pretty close to the film version--I added 3D-printed "metal bars" to the finger and back of the hand.
They aren't visible in these photos, but I did also have split-design suspenders (crimson on the Harvey side/black with skull print on the Two-Face side), Yin-Yang cuff-links, a Batman Forever Armitron black leather wristwatch on the right arm and a Red & Black Yin-Yang brass wrist watch on the left. Ooh! And a purple dress sock, lol.
All in all, this build took a lot of time and research and many, many (MANY) fabric samples. But I'm overall very pleased with the effort. Visually, I think this is probably the most complex Two-Face costume and the challenge of that was especially alluring to me. People can dismiss the Schumacher Batman films if they want to, but, from a costume and production-design standpoint, I personally find them unimpeachable. I can understand why there haven't been all that many attempts at this cosplay--it's intricate and wild and hard to nail--Nolan's Dark Knight Two-Face and BTAS Two-Face are much simpler.
I STILL would love to find another (or even multiple) copies of that original mask I posted above--just to have it on a mannequin even. So if there's anybody reading this who has one and wants to part with it, let me know! I'd also love to know about any makers that offer the Rick Baker Tommy Lee Jones design (or if anybody has a mold of it/knows anyone who might)!
Thanks for your time and attention. And remember: "Courage Now, Truth Always, Batman Forever!"
