EDIT: EvilRocketeer, I found Mike's after doing a quick search for the name from Tyler's page. I wanted to see if those emails had the possibility of being true, as they were (in my view) pretty extreme. I figured that a person's likes would be a good place to get an idea of their character if the rest of the page was private. And while nothing in his likes were blatantly racist, there were a few that gave me pause and made me think the emails could possibly be true. I'm not stating that he is or is not an ignorant bigot, I'm drawing my own conclusions from what I've seen and I suggest other people do the same if they care. Basically, people should make their own judgments instead of relying on a single side to a story.

Yeah, That was the same reason why I was looking for his facebook page but gave up after a few minutes...too many mikes in this world haha..

Fair enough...but we all have our opinions but if your saying what I think you're saying, yours is wrong about me.

I just went back through my likes & looked at all of them, you're correct, nothing in there is "blatantly racist"....that being said, there ARE some likes that make me blatantly Republican....I didn't know that made me an "ignorant bigot" though.

Anyway, this thread wasn't about MY character flaws...it's about Tyler ripping people off, not delivering what was promised & my pale attempt to warn other people about him as so they don't make the same mistake that I did although most seem to already know how he is.
How we got derailed, I'll never know.

Mike, some of us try to look at both sides of the story before jumping on the wagon. What Tyler wrote on his wall about you was surprising.

Understandable.
I lurk & read a lot here, I just don't post....mainly because the stuff that I do is spandex hero/comic book related (hence me usually being on the LOH and BOTB) whereas most of what I see here is more sci-fi & movie related.
Plus, you guys tend to be all about 100% accurate and I'm more the type that if it just looks cool, I'm happy....nothing wrong with either, it's just I think that what I do fails in comparison

Just an update:
Tyler has taken everything off his FB as far as the racial slander and he & I have talked.
He sent me a tracking # Thursday for part of my order that checks out & I'm supposed to have another tracking # this evening for the rest.

If he holds true to his word, I'll keep you guys updated and ask for the thread to be deleted..Thanks for your support guys!!

Tyler Haslett buyer beware (UPDATED)

Just a quick update:
Well, it's been two weeks since all this came to a head...Tyler & I talked, he send a package of "good faith" (none of which I ordered) as well as promising to send a tracking # for my actual item....so, being the dumb ass that I am, I gave him the benefit of the doubt & removed my warning posts about him on FB, the LOH as well as here on the RPF.....guess what? Yeah, he screwed me without so much as a kiss & a reach around!
At this point, I'm done with the dude....the local law says I can press charges on him for "obtaining goods under false pretense" and that it's a felony. The crappy part is being that he's in a different state, they won't extradite BUT if he ever gets stopped for a ticket or in a license check etc., that he'll be held until he gets this taken care of....yeah, I think I'll go that route.
So, in the meantime, I ordered the actual licensed Blade replica from a guy on Ebay ....so total, thanks to Tyler, this deal has cost me $326.00 as opposed to the original $90.00.

Live & learn guys....if the $90.00 deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Ok well...looks like this story might just have a happy ending after all.
Yesterday Tyler sent me some pics of my finished Puppet as well as a tracking # for my order....should be here tomorrow so I'll keep you guys posted.
For the record, if the quality of the figure is as good as it looks, I'll be one happy camper because honestly, it looks WAY better than the licensed piece.

Ok so this will be my last update on this:
I received my package from Tyler today...when I opened it, my jaw dropped.
This thing is AWESOME....the way the body was built, the paint, the clothes...EVERYTHING was perfect!

As I had mentioned, I also ordered the licensed "battle damaged" version from Ebay...when it arrived, I *thought* it was pretty cool but standing next to Tyler's version, it looks like a Kmart rag doll....seriously.

Now I know it's taken a while to get here & some harsh words have been exchanged but I guess the bottom line is that Tyler DID deliver and DID deliver quality.....and for me, that's what mattered.

Mods, feel free to do what you will with this thread and thank you guys so much for allowing me to vent until this was taken care of.

yeah he took 90$ of mine with nothing to show for it.. i was supposed to get a scarcrow mask... but when i posted pics of his house ( from google earth) and asking people to pay him a visit he went off the wall and started saying i was off the wall and threatening his life... if a guy has that many people mad at him he is really a true criminal and eventually he will get whats coming to him... if he could just do what he says hes going to do then there wouldnt be an issue but if it were up to me i would have him return everyone there money and also give them the props he was supposed to deliver.. he is true scum in my eyes..

This is an older thread but coming from Personal experience from me and other friends of mine, he is a nightmare to deal with and if he owes you stuff, call the police, it's the only way he'll send you your stuff, make sure to provide evidence of purchase.
