Hello mods
I have a seen an enormous explosion on new accounts/ users lately...
While it is generally a great thing to expand our community and give new talents a platform, there´s also the risk to have "bad apples" in the mix.
While there´s not much you can do about the registration process, instead of running all members through an AC and maybe giving you moderators their real names and adresses (hey, that´d be an option to avoid sockpuppet-accounts !), we COULD check existing accounts from time to time.
How about a frequent check of all "inactive" accounts, where a member didn´t post for -lets say- more than a year!? IF he´s still interested in being part of this community, he has to reply to your mail, otherwise the account will be deleted.
This way we could get rid off people, who don´t contribute anything.
Still no idea how to handle all the members, who basically only joined to SELL (and there are PLENTY IMHO). A royal PITA and the JY is swamped with these :unsure
