Yes I think it's now general knowledge that I sculpted Vader on many forums but thanks for mentioning me

This was made by Mike Warren aka Vadermonkey a member here. So, somehow I have one of these, built several months later. Was this a reissue sold to collectors? I bought it at a shop in Tacoma, Washington. What is its history?View attachment 1084666View attachment 1084667View attachment 1084668View attachment 1084669

Steve Sansweet. Sorry, Siri doesn’t always get it right.I already knew it was made by Vadermonkey, since it’s written inside the helmet, and that’s why I’m here on the replica prop forums. I’m just wondering if this is an additional helmet he made for someone down the line, if he sold a series of these, or what? The original was made as a gift for Steve since week, so I’m wondering how I ended up with this one. It was signed as if made months later, so I figured it was either a proof, or something he made for someone who wanted to buy it.
I wonder whose I ended up with...most likely a collector who bought one local to the Seattle/Tacoma area. Aside from Mr. Warren’s autograph, there’s nothing to specify which one it was. I know the guy who owns the toy shop said he had just purchased a huge collection and was still sorting through it. I thought it looked cool, so I bought it. I had no idea where it came from, I just sort of figured it was a custom one-off for Halloween or a comic-con.There was a series of 10 that were sold. There were a few made for special people in the industry. Steve was one. David Tanaka was another (ILM/Pixar) and another was for Seth Green and Matthew Senreich.

All this had was a black mannequin head mounted on a Plexiglass disc at the base to act as a stand. There was no placque, it was probably somewhere else in the collection and/or lost. The 10 had individual plaques that Mike and I signed, though that might have been lost. I think this version is actually scarier than the original. Joker Vader! Why so Serious?
I agree with sskunky, how can you tell?I have one of the 10. As mentioned above the small run was done on here and some given as gifts.
I’m not sure how you can tell it was signed and made later.?
Later than the April 2011 posts regarding the one for Steve Sansweet, this one was signed and dated September 2011.I agree with sskunky, how can you tell?
I have the last of the last. 10/10
