I would suggest that you call Weta again and ask them to restore it by puttying it and repainting it by their technicians. There are too many cracks and they should help you. Send them the photos.

Man that sucks dude, I haven't had mine out of the box since looking at it the 1st day I got it, really want to give it a good look over now. Perhaps yours got dropped during transit before you got it and had some weaknesses that weren't visible at 1st but have finally given in?

Ouch! I have two, both in fine shape, one in semi sunlight too. Bummer. On the up side, this is your incentive to putty the cracks and repaint then blend it all by adding a LOT more dirt. These guns are far cleaner than the film props!

didn't one or two arrive with cracks i seem to remember, perhaps this also had but were not noticeable at the time.

i'm scared to look at mine now.
