whats going on with United Cutlery? -LOTR

Yep, marto didn't heat them right. Pretty much wall hangers but darn nice ones, If you happen to have a warped one me and Kit managed to figure out you can fix it at least enough to display by clamping it between two plywood sheets. It fixed mine at least, and a couple out of the returns at UC.

Did Sauron have a sword? Don't remember seeing that in the film or was it taken from the eventually cut scene of him fighting Aragorn at the end of ROTK?

Was going to in ROTK, watch the extras. It's a big sucker and the hilt resembles the mace handle.

I was hoping to see some more scabbards really, like for boromirs sword...
will they make faramirs sword? it was nice...

I would just like to see something for Sam, Merry, and Pippen, so we can have at least one item for each member of the fellowship...

I don't really seeing them selling that well. They were pretty ugly swords.

I'd definitely vote for a Boromir scabbard. It was one of the best looking scabbards out of all of them.

I wasnt speaking of just the swords they had in FOTR - Merry and Pippen had some cool stuff between them being in Rohan and Gondor... I personally would want that stuff before a Faramir sword or any more scabbards. The scabbards are cool, but unless they are for costuming, its kind of a pain to decide how to display the stuff... the only item UC caught on to this and did something about was the Strider knife.

No return of the Musuem Collection. Yes you are right the Anduril was next in line, then a shards of narsil was to finish out the line. I wish they had done that line soonr, I think the sales would have been much higher, they had a hard time moving those and I don't think they made but around half of the Glamdrings from the edition size.

That's such a shame - the only LOTR props I own are the UC Anduril and scabbard as it's the only sword that really 'matters' to me. I would have upgraded to a museum collection one if it had ever been made, and I was kind of hoping that the MC line would be resurrected on hearing that UC were going to start production again a while back. I'd not heard about the MC shards of Narsil, I would have almost certainly picked that up as well. Ho hum.

I was wondering why a bunch of museum Glamdring display cases were available on ebay without the sword, now I know. I really like the wood and glass display cases, but I sold my Glamdring a while back. Maybe I'll pick up a new Glamdring and one of these available display cases.

I was just over at the warehouse/showroom (no SW yet.. that still won't be til SDCC) and they had quite a few LOTR swords and costumes there.. they have a new display of the comic line too.. (that Thors' hammer is mind-blowing!) Just email them and let them know what you'd like to see them sell. They are very open to suggestions for new products.

That Museum Replicas Right? They were just a UC contractor and still aren't affiliated with the new UC.

Oops.. my mistake..yep two different companies United Cutlery and Atlanta Cutlery(Windlass)/Museum Replicas are both in GA though.. (you think I would know that..LOL)
I was at the Atl./MRepl. warehouse..

Eomer's sword, Mary's Rohan sword and Pippen's Gondor sword is what I'd like to see. It'd complete my set...that an accurate Legolas knives...the handles were too mustard color and not more ivory like on screen. Ooo..Ooo...maybe a couple more of the ringwraith swords as well :)

However out of all of those, I'd like to see Eomer's sword the most.

Hopefully if they do decide to do more scabbards, they'll fix the fit issues. I've had my Strider scabbard for almost a year, and it still fits way too tight. I don't use it much anymore because I don't want to scratch the blade.

Squirt some wd-40 (or similar) in the sabbard or on the blade, run the sword in and out a few times and it should lossen it up. It worked for all that we tried in the warehouse at UC.
