Who will be doing a Thor movie version hammer?

Stopped by and looked at it yesterday. There were a couple of things I didnt like so they are being changed and Ill pick it up Monday. From what I can see I may be able to get the pricing down from my original thoughts. Will find out for sure. Monday and then start an INT thread in the JY for these.

My friend made this one in PVC:

Just got back from the midnight showing...and in true RPF member geekness, I'm here looking for a replica of the movie hammer....would love to have one that is very heavy and with a display base that looks like the crater rock...

Just got back as well. Not a lot of good screenshots of the hammer, but agreat design for the bigscreen and a great movie as well!

My only real dissapointment with the movie was a geek thing - the brevity of Thor wearing the helmet!
Other than that, it was a VERY fun movie - and for those who have not seen it yet, YES, stay for the end of the credits:love
I'm actually suprised there are no officially licensed replicas of the movie hammer yet...there are already numerous licensed Green Lantern prop replicas available for preorder...

I'm more in the market for a high-end replica made of metal. The pics do look OK, but the item itself is undersized.
I guess that could be recast in a heavier solid resin...for the price it does not look bad, but stock images usually always look better than the actual item.

Well according to the photo of the hand holding it on the site, I'm inclined to say it's actually slightly bigger than the prop.

I believe this may be an actual item photo. The biggest problem I see is that the disk on top is too small, but for $16. I'm not complaining. I ordered one and it's already shipping to me. Should be here Tuesday so we can either make fun or it or otherwise depending on how it looks.

OK....I broke down and bought one. Just got it today...I must say, it looks just as good as it does in the pictures....a really nice "replica" for a low price.
The overall design and size is pretty good. The handle is all hallow plastic and if you wanted to accurize this thing, it could be removed from the hammer and replaced with something better.
The hammer head is also hallow but sturdy. I would go as far as filling it with solid resin to give it weight. The handle replaced with wood and real leather coverings.
Sorry about the bad pic - taken with my camera phone:

Well, carp! I went to order one and they're out of stock.

The hammer is made by a company called "Disquise, Inc" and I'm sure you can find them through other sellers - it is a licensed product and came tied to a full color card. I'm sure we will see these all over come Halloween time.
The actual product, much to my suprise and delight, looks better in person than in the stock photos.
I was pretty suprised by how nice the size is. The only major innacuracy I can tell is that, as mentioned before, the disc on top that has the Asguard writing is smaller in curcumfrance. This could be easily modified by adding a replacement cap overtop of it if you wanted to.
The hammer head is hallow, but hard so it wont indent in if you press it. A very well made costume accesory - clearly designed with authenticity in mind.
I plan on sculpting a rock display base like in the movie. Also, replacing the handle and filling the head solid would be pretty cool. Once more of us get one of these in hand, we can discuss modification techniques...
But for the price - YES, this is a GREAT display item and it won't take much modification at all to get it up to par....

Hi @ all

Hmmmm I look at different shops now but it sees they are out of stock everywhere.

If someone knows a store that will ship to germany, a short message would be nice.

I WANT ONE :cry:cry:cry:cry:cry:cry:cry:cry

The problem is that most collectors would want it made out of metal. And most craftsmen charge alot for full metal props.

At around $400, I see myself buying an accurate full metal/ wood/ leather replica. But I also know that is conventionally not possible :(

Eaglewood, I don't know IF this helps but here is a detailed pic of the Runes on the top of the Hammer from the Toy prop, although the Disc on top is not the correct size I'm guessing that the Runes are accurate:

Actually, it's missing some letters from the look of it:
