haha 100% 200XXX hand brushed beaver
but anyways
i dont think the toe on the boot is squared but it could be a weird angle the camera is at i cant find any high rez photos of them all the photos are of him in his Bowery Boys costume and not the street fight costume
Well, I know I'm tall and skinny enough for it. Plus, I was planning on custom-making pretty much everything. That's where the fun is, right?
I actually have my heart set on the more aristocratic costume he wears throughout most of the movie:
I figure I need to find patterns for an Edwardian shirt, a double-breasted vest, a frock coat, and some generic mid-1800s trousers. I'm not in this game for 100% accuracy, I just want to make a unique and impressive Halloween costume!
Mostly, I'm curious about the contact and the hat. Did you make them yourself? I know Baron Hats makes a Butcher hat, but I'd rather improvise my own, since I'm not filled with cash.
I kind of lost steam on it, to be honest. If you're looking for something similar-but-not-exact, you could try searching for MacLeod tartan fabric:
Did you ever find a suitable fabric for the waistcoat?
Ooh, not a bad choice. I perceived it as a yellow base, but it certainly looks more washed-out than that on film, and the camel works well.
I've actually shifted gears to this earlier outfit:

Which means I need to find:
-Pants fabric - maroon with gold/tan pinstripes
-Waistcoat fabric - a very odd shiny fabric in green/brown/orange plaid
-Frock coat fabric - chocolate brown suiting, can't be too hard
....Any ideas on the first two?
You have any more photos of that outfit, I might be able to find something for you, at least for the pants. I wonder if that waistcoat is another silk based pattern.
I was wondering if there any good reference photos of the eye? Or just the stock photo.
I really want to make one.
Yup, it's an eagle. Here's a Blu-Ray screencap:Thanks
It looks like the eagle is painted on the eye.
