Does anyone know if they sell jewelry, specifically Luna Lovegood's dirigible plum/radish earrings and butterbeer cork necklace? I'm trying to put together a Luna costume for the midnight opening of DH, and I'll be visiting Universal in the fall. I'm trying to decide whether to just buy some replicas online now, or wait to see if they have anything good there. It would be wonderful to know ahead of time so I could go ahead and purchase something.

@Swirlingvortex7: Noble has Luna jewelry set. As I recall from hearing they don't have any jewelry for sell at the park

@SchubroProductions: what does Fanged Flyer, Screaming Yoyo do? do they make sounds or anything?

Yay, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter has officially opened, so now I can show people what I've been doing for the past year.

You made these? That's impressive!

I can see they took inspiration and designs from existing harry potter film ones. the Holly and Birch handle are taken from fred or george's wands and the wand called the Vine has the handle design of Umbridge's. The Elder though is a wand design which is based from the unknown deatheater wand and is a wand Noble is yet to produce (hopefully)

Another thing that bugs me is that the wands are still made of resin. I can see that there is an expense and easy production en masse, but resin, like the Noble wands is very fragile!:cryYou do know that those wands are for display, right? You're not supposed to actually use them.

I don't see why they could not have taken advantage of a wand producing place such as Alivans - some are reasonably affordable!

Thanks, but I purchased the Noble one from them when they first came out. I was just pointing out that the "birthday wand" marked as Elder is not the same one. :thumbsup

Here's a good place I found if your looking for Harry Potter items. The Noble Collection:

The Noble Collection Products

We were at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter on 6/22/10.

They were out of a lot of Harry's items, they still had a lot of Slytherin House items...

I was thinking about getting "The TRIWIZARD Champions Wand Set" for $145, but held off at last minute..

I then happen to see that Noble Collection is carrying the same thing that I saw at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter for the same price.

Just wanted to pass on the info...

Hey Ozy, I'm just returning from the park and sadly I couldn't find the egg. :cry However, I did see the chess automata and the dragon chase automata. Unfortunately, the dragon chase was hidden behind the owl post cart, so you had to peek around to get to see it. When I was standing by the chess piece, a boy walked up and started taking pictures of it after declaring it, "bad ass."

"You do know that those wands are for display, right? You're not supposed to actually use them. "

ummm.... Children don't display wands, they play wand fights and so on. A bad move by universal, but I suppose it is the only way to produce the wands in such intricate designs!

All I was trying to say was that the wand they sell as 'Elder' is actually the design of a deatheater's wand GoF, I think.

I finally got to the park myself and was bummed to see where they stuck the castle. Parked a blasted vendor cart right in front of it.

The Golden Eggs and the Tri-Wizard cup are both in the queu line for the roller coaster.

Love the story about the kid. That just makes me smile. :)

Ozymandius! I was flipping through the pictures that one of my facebook friends that I don't know that well took at her recent trip to the WWoHP and I was delighted to see that she took pictures of the Tri-Wizard Cup, the egg, and the wizard chess. :D

Cool. I wonder if the chess set was working that day. :lol

WOW amazing work!
i just got back from the park a few days ago and saw everthing
but the golden egg :(
that just means ill have to go again
btw you wouldnt happen to know the butterbeer recipe would you :p that stuff is good!

All three golden eggs are in the queue line for the roller coaster. They are in a glass case just after the Tri-Wizard cup, but the lighting on them is so bad that you can barely make out what they are let alone see any of the detail.

And I keep hearing about the butter beer and pumpkin juice but I've yet to try either. Interesting little aside though about the drinks...the reason the park even has them is that J.K. Rowling refused to even allow the park unless all soft drinks were banned from being sold inside the Potter area.
