I'm a huge Sly fan as well. I got to fly out to Vegas to be in Rocky Balboa and got to meet Stallone as well. That bust is awesome. I am so jealous.

May I suggest that if you do a Drago, you do it battle damaged. The wet hair look would be awesome on that one.

LUCKY. I wish I could of been there ;) My wife and I want to go to Vegas for a pro fight after watching that movie... I loved how they filmed it in 'video' format for that whole scene.

What about Clubber? He's the most rotten out of them :D

H

Of course Clubber too. A Rocky in Leather Jacket with hat would be sweet as well. I'm sure we could think of enough of them to keep you busy for the rest of your life. .....still jealous.

Frankly, the first pics look a little plastic to me BUT, the last two with the hood up.....Man, Rocky should be huffin and puffin from that fight.

Beautiful work.

BRAVO. That's SWEET..
Anybody ever done 'Pollys' B-day present robot girlfriend?? ~"HAPPY BIRTHDAY POLLY.."~lol

Looks great all done up Howard.

As others said the hair's a nice touch... I personally like the blood on the towel. That sort of detail really brings it all together and makes the clothing look like it's "there" in the display and not just thrown on brand-new.

Wow...the hood, the bloodied towel...plus the great sculpt/paint.

Man, Howard, you really go the extra mile. :thumbsup

This is one of my favorite pieces you've done.

I was under the false impression that you couldn't paint as well as you sculpt :eek Please tell us more about that hair technique. Are those beads of sweat? What did you use for that? Did you bloodshot the glass eye? Great work...

I piant when I have time. These days though I'm getting more and more time :(

As for the hair, I used vinyl bead wire, it comes in different gauges and I just glued it in different places. I then painted on Tamaya 'clear' and let it drip in some spots, it really has the sweaty look going and creates beads of sweat.

I was finally able to see this in person and this sculpt is so incredibly impressive. My wife was looking at the profile and was simply amazed by the likeness. The hair, the skin, the eye bruising - it's all Howard's work at his best.
