So, just like pretty much everyone reading this thread, I saw Spider-Man Homecoming at midnight on the date of the premiere. The movie was amazing, and I felt like there was so much about Peter Parker that was new, refreshing, and characterized him very well. One thing that seriously stood out to me was the homemade version of Peter's suit (Mk I).

I started out very early on looking around for the parts to this costume. I came to learn that the pants, hoodie, undershirt, and pretty much everything besides the shoes were custom created for the movie. The web shooters were my first thing to start on, though.
I ordered a pair of sweatbands from Suddora that looked to be a similar color to the one in the movie. After taking the measurements of those, I made a 3d model of the web shooters in Tinkercad. I have virtually no experience 3d modeling, so this was a very egregious, extensive process.

I went through 3D Hubs to get this printed, after getting a ridiculous quote from Shapeways. I printed them off through NolanC Print Works (https://www.3dhubs.com/service/200985) who was wonderful to work with. He even separated my model into parts, so that it could be printed better. I lightly sanded the parts, and painted them with enamel mixed with aluminum paste. Here's the finished product.

I attached the web shooters to the sweatbands with nylon, through the loops I had modeled into the cartridges. Here they are attached to the sweatband.

(Not gonna go into detail on the gloves, I'm getting new ones.)
The hoodie was pretty challenging too. I bought a Hanes undershirt in a size smaller than I normally wear, because in the movie, it's relatively tight on the arms. (Shoes were Sockwa Playa Lows! G4's were out of stock by the time I got around. Socks are just plain old baseball socks. Pants are a placeholder.)

I drew out a stencil for my spider, by perspective warping a photo of the spider and tracing it. I then cut out the stencil (which took me about 10 minutes, the scissors I used were huge.) and colored it in with sharpie. I colored it in darker than it looked in the film, because sharpie tends to fade over time.

In my next update, I'll be going over the pants. I'm currently tailoring those so that they can fit my legs tighter. The sweatpants were originally womens, so I ordered it to fit my waist size before legs, so the shins are loose. The mask is still in the patterning phase.
