1/32 Danube Class Runabout - In development

After many many Star Wars builds, I wanted to return to my first sci-fi love; Star Trek. More importantly I wanted to do a ship that doesn't get enough love, the Runabout. I could've done the 1/72 AMT kit, but I love big models and wanted to push some of my 3D design skills a bit, so I am working on a 1/32 scale Runabout.

The main hull is mostly done, just detail bits and panel lines. The nacelle pylons are in the works, and the interior is most of the way there!

If anyone has good high-res shots of the studio model, please let me know!

Always liked this ship - it felt like a plausible, well thought out design to me. You’ve done a great job so far.

Me too, they seem like a good design for a larger shuttle style ship that needs to go further on its own.

Thank you! I’ve spent the day making the nacelle pylons and doing panel lines. I need to finish the interior parts too.

A few more update shots as I’ve got the designs in the nacelles and pylons done and now I need to get the interior sections done for a test print.

Been plugging along on the files and have a good chunk of the hull way more accurate than before!

I have also started my test prints and I am super happy with how they’ve come out!

I’m not sure what you mean? Do you mean the modular sections?

This is being developed as a high end collectible right now. There is the option to do it as a modular ship later on though

The print looks excellent, and it's absolutely HUGE!

The first test print of the hull is done. The design work for the interior is finished too. This is one big model!

I think it is nearly there! It is a good scale at 1/32. The interiors are really nice and visible too
