I had some trouble finding it until I watched you and AS's video and he mentioned hobby stores. Start looking there and it's pretty easy to find, since it doesn't seem like hardware stores carry it anymore. At least not so small

I swear I saw this same exact stuff at Michaels, nope no such luck

I also sent our the missing screws from the last batch.
I'm waiting on alternative tri rings.
And I'm waiting to hear back from a couple people that asked for extensions to see how many kits I have left.

I am trying Rustoleum Semi Gloss Black on mine. I had good results with it on my V2. Are you dulling the aluminum down any before painting?

I plan to use Krylon satin black which is the same I used for my v2. I felt semi was too glossy and matte was too flat.

As on my Anakin Starkiller V2, I used Rustoleum High Performance Flat Black Enamel, which can be buffed to a nice sheen, or left dull.

I am trying Rustoleum Semi Gloss Black on mine. I had good results with it on my V2. Are you dulling the aluminum down any before painting?

No dulling or aging the aluminum, it wasn’t like that during filming

Finishing the hero video tonight should be up super late tonight or first thing in the morning

For the record the black Starkiller recommends is

I have it on good authority that the black used on the grenade section of the hero saber was a custom mix of 25% Krylon gloss black, 10% Krylon forest green, 10% Krylon Magenta, 40% Krylon flat black, 5% Krylon Sunburst Yellow, 5% Krylon Shadow Gray, and 5% Krylon Banner Red.

I just go with 100% Satin Black though.

Go figure...

And the black is just Rustoleum Flat Black
