Asian Kit dealers??? eBay experiences???

Great responses, everyone. I appreciate the feedback! BTW, I use a blow dryer to heat the vinyl when I cut it. I have in the past done a bunch of them, mostly figures. Some of the best detail I've ever seen, bar none. Pity Horizon has fizzled into infinity...

I've only bought vinyl kits from the Asian recasters, but only when I honestly couldn't find or afford the out of production original. There was some definate shrinkage (as in one instance, I had an original to compare it to), but it wasn't horrible. And the details were just a touch softer. With some skill, though, one can usually build them up into nice looking kits.

I will say this here, which is basically written in that Recast FAQ I posted above: don't buy recasts - even of kits you can't find or afford. You are killing a hobby and someone's desire to pick up the original molds and do a new run of originals. There is no excuse to buy recasts in that hobby. The sheer amount of talented people and companies quitting the market because of getting screwed and undercut by recasters is proof enough of that statement!
