Re: "New" BTTF comic!

Here's a grab from the scene showing the comic:
...
This is a comic called HEADLINE COMICS. It is issue #67 and the publication date is Sep-Oct 1954.

Here's the actual issue, just like the one used in the film:

If anyone's interested, I am trying to get my hands on a high quality scan of this (both front and back) and fortunately have a lead.

Good luck tracking one down. :)
I found a bigger and sharper version of the front on comicconnect.com:

It seems that this issue is quite rare.
Comic Book Realm lists this issue with a current value of 65$.

Has anyone ever found the other three inspirational portraits found in Doc Brown's House? We still need Isaac Newton, Benjamin Franklin, and Albert Einstein. I've seen some low-res offerings before but ideally it would be print quality...Any help would be welcome.

Thanks. I guess its too much to hope for pictures the resolution of the Thomas Edison above? I think the frame size in the move is closer to 9x12 than 8x10.

Hm, dont know... I never made em, because I got no free space to display the pictures... But I think they have the same size like all the glossy photo prints, but I dont know exactly because we have the metric system...

@mrsmartypants
Still interested in getting a copy of this comic?
I found it for approx. 20 USD (grading: FN: 6.0).
I would already have ordered it and scanned it in.... BUT: they want to charge 80 bucks only for shipping to Germany! :confused
That´s ridiculous... :wacko

So if you (or someone else) want to spend 20 Dollar + shipping (I think that it is not so expensive within the US) I can give you the link.

Best regards

Good find on that image bulldog!
Thanks for the offer, but I'd rather not spend $80 on shipping. That's ridiculous!

I have the Isaac Newton image. I actually own a real 17th century lithograph that is the same pic pictured in BTTF2. It's pretty amazing. I also have a line on hi-rez versions of the Franklin and Einstein pics. I'll post more info as things come together.

I agree that the photos look bigger than 8 x 10, but if you pay close attention, ,they also seem to have large white-ish borders around them. They have done that just to fill out the larger frames....

I just tried printing the images at 11x14 (that looks to be the frame size in the film) and they are pretty rough, especially Einstein. The pixilation isn't noticeable from accross the room, but they still don't have that "Christmas Gift for Dad" quality I'd like. Its been suggested I try to find the books that these photos actually came from, but I wouldn't know where to start on that.

@mrsmartypants I look forward to what your able to pull together!

I'm pretty sure the Flux Capacitor drawing is on a standard 8.5 x 11 piece of paper, though I could be wrong.

To size it up I'd be tempted to auto-trace it in illustator and scale it up that way. Or ome other vectory way to do it.

reason I ask is cause I did print the highest res one I could find on 8.5 x 11 and it still came out slightly pixelated.

Here is what I was able to put together quickly.

It could be cleaned up a little, but I think its pretty good.

To make the flux drawing the most accurate, you will want to print it out and then trace it onto a napkin (as in the movie).

Thanks for the offer, but I'd rather not spend $80 on shipping. That's ridiculous!
I don´t know where you are from - but if you live in the US, the chance that the shipping is not so ridiculously expensive is IMHO quite big.
So if anyone from the US is interested and wants to contact the shop for a shipping quotation... just drop me a line .

Also had these scans of the Eric Stoltz vanishing photo from the Profiles in History auction laying around. I may try to do some photoshop work on them to make a proper vanishing set later, but I think they're interesting in their own right.

Re: BTTF Phone Book Page & Others

Not sure where I originally found this, but I think this is what you're looking for. There's also one where I've removed the background.
