Doesn't matter. I've got 2 kidneys I'm not using.

You might want to talk to your Doctor about that, or keep at least one of them on ice.

As far as JJ Abrams being a visionary, I never heard anyone say that nor have I. As I said in my previous post, how good the story(TFA) is remains to be seen.

I've often heard the term 'visionary' thrown around and in mentioning it I was speaking broadly, not to you specifically. I want TFA to be good, but from a purely design standpoint, there are things to nitpick.

For me the original trilogy, especially ANH and ESB, are the ultimate Star Wars movies. The prequels were fun at times but never had the good feeling and look that the originals had.

Oh, I agree on the "good feeling" part, but I'd argue the PT were never meant to deliver the same feeling as the OT. Even going as far back as More American Graffiti, Lucas always liked to change things up in his sequels, give the audience something new to expand the story instead of just offering a slightly different blend of what came before. ESB is the perfect example. It's WAY different than ANH in terms of story, tone and execution. And I remember when it came out having MANY MANY debates among other fans about how it was too different. They'd say, "It wasn't as fun," and "It just felt too different than the first movie." Same happened with Temple of Doom. A lot of people wanted 'Raiders II' and Lucas instead wanted something a little different. I wasn't disappointed in the PT because I wasn't expecting it to be like the OT. I remember reading the ANH novelization that had a prologue about the fall of the Republic and the political machinations, so I was pleased that they more or less stuck to that outline. As far back as the early 80s Lucas talked about the PT being "more about politics" and "castle conspiracies" and "not as fun." They're meant to complement the story of the OT, not just do it over again. But none of this is meant as a personal criticism. I would never ask anyone to like the PT, but I will defend them. I believe people should be allowed to like what they like. In the end, it's all subjective. It's art. Unfortunately, the internet turns it all into a big nerd phallus measuring contest.

Which is a long way of me saying, once again, that I want Bandai to release some PT subjects. :D

They specifically categorize their releases into "Episodes IV/V/VI" and "The Fore Awakens," but no mention of I/II/III. If Bandai decides they just don't want to do PT kits, its a shame. It's not like a few kits wouldn't sell (especially a clonetrooper or Jango Fett) and it would just be them picking sides in a pointless fan war.

I'm quite certain they'll eventually do it because Bandai plans to release a large line of SH Figuarts action figures of characters from the prequels, so don't worry but expect to see only TFA related kits for the first half of 2016 until the hype from the new movie dies.

About the only kit I would like to see from the prequels is a -Lukcrehulk class Droid Control Ship about 14" or so. With the level of detail Bandai has shown with their Falcon that subject would be magnificent.

Bandai has no love for the prequels.

You can tell from the "PRODUCTS" pull down menu.

I believed majority of those who watch IV,V and VI in there first theatrical released has no love for the prequels.
For what I have seen so far. Prequels are popular for cosplayers and merchandise collectors but not for scale modelers.

Just wishing they will continue more OT subjects.

Which, in my opinion, is complete BS on the part of Bandai. So there are more modelers who will buy a sandtrooper but not a phase I or II clonetrooper? At least the PT HAD ship designs. I saw TFA last night and there's a grand total of 2 ships that aren't just a slight updates on an OT design: the shoe box FO troop transport and Leia's sideways flying... thing. How many modelers are going to be dying to make either of those kits?

And Kylo Ren's shuttle.

Unless there are a ton of things I haven't seen in the trailers, I have to say that the design of this film looks pretty bad.The costume design is brilliant, but the ship designs are in the wrong direction. The prequels clobbered this. They were ambitious.

Remember how awesome cloud city was? That was definitely in a galaxy far, far away.

I'll put it this way: 1978's Battlestar Galactica had WAY more original and cool designs and even THAT was a Star Wars ripoff!
Personally, I would love to see some of the older ships still being used.....but I also want newer stuff that we've never seen before.

But "stealth" 1977 tie fighters doesn't cut it

I figure TIEs are like B-52s. The Empire/FO has tried to replace them, but the older model continues to be more dependable, well rounded and capable. The B-52 has outlived the B-1b and B-2. We didn't see any TIE Advanced, Interceptors, Bombers, or any of the screen used variants from the OT that were likely candidates to replace the older TIE Fighter.

I think it's a wise move, the prequels were so advanced for an era that was supposed to be pre OT, they didn't fit and the clones were so out of spec that they weren't pre stormtrooper more like post. I think bandai have done well to steer clear of the prequels as is the case for most serious SW modellers
