Chase's Star Wars Vintage Parts Hunting!

Minolta Auto Spot 1º

This is in pretty good condition except for some chipping around the lens. It came with a nice carry case and even still works if you put in a AAA and 9V!

Fujimi Lamborghini Countach LP500S 1/16 Model Kit

I'm now a proud Lambo owner! (okay, well maybe it's just a kit but we'll pretend it's real!) Plan on saving these wheels for when I'm lucky enough to pick up a real Praco!

Roman Obi-Wan ANH Mk1 Parts

Picked these up from juajn7fernandez. Sadly these aren't vintage, but a good base to start with while I work on collecting all of the real vintage parts! Thanks juajn7fernandez! :)

Fellowes Copyholder

Used to make the Diagnostic Screen seen in Phantom Menace. This is the only one I've ever seen other than on POSW so I knew I had to snatch it ;)

Microflame Torch Model B

Grabbed another Microflame, this time a Model B and it came with full cylinders as well! As far as I can tell if I just removed the "Model B" it would the same as the screen used version correct? This one also came with the torch tip which I had never seen on one before but sadly it broke off in shipping so I can see why they're not very common on them (n)

Bolsey Model No. 2 Flashes

Picked these up on ebay and plan on converting them to VD Yoda sabers using sjanish's parts and saving all of the real wheels I got with my LP500S for a real Praco! I had already started converting one before I realized I didn't take pictures of it before I started lol

Folmer Graflex 3 Cell Flash

This was the first piece of vintage hardware I ever wanted to get my hands on as a kid. So glad I finally found one for a great deal!

Sadly it does have a little bit of rust and scratches and a chip in the "emitter" plastic but it's not in too bad of shape for some that I've seen out there. It's also, unfortunately, missing one of the brass pins on the right side. (If anyone has a spare let me know!)

I would love to hear some feedback and hear how rare this one is as it appears to be one of the early ones without a patent number yet it seems to have a mid-late red button and late folmer glass eye...

You can remove that rust with fine steel wool, just move it in the same direction as the grain and be gentle. I wouldn't worry about the scratches, you won't see them once you attach the grips. I was worried about scratches on a Heiland I used to make a Vader saber, it looked pretty bad but after I finished you couldn't really tell.

Graflex Clamps

Got two very nicely worn and one almost mint Graflex clamps in the mail today!

Graflex Top

Also got this top that came with them, it’ll probably just be used for spare parts so if anyone needs a part or two off it let me know and we can figure out a price :)

The pic of the pens brings back memories! I remember buying a full box of them, too, back in '99. I know where ONE of the pens is. And maybe two caps. I have NO IDEA where any of the other ones are!

The Graflex is nice! It's your standard Folmer. That would make a great ANH or ESB hilt! The really beat up clamp would be perfect for a V3, since it'd get covered in aluminum tape. The middle one screams Old Ben.

I've wanted the pens since I was a kid haha!

Yeah I was thinking the worn clamp would be great for someone looking to do a battle worn saber!

Graflex Inc. 3 Cell Flash

Another day another Graflex. Picked this one up for a great deal and thinking about going with an ANH build for it using WannaWanga T-Track and bubble strip since it's not "exactly" the correct version for a true ANH build. If anyone has any input on that feel free to share! :)

I think all that fuss about the "correct versions" of Graflex for specific props is just plain silly, to be honest.

There were more than one for each movie, and aside from ever so slightly different pins and some slightly different text and possibly a slightly different shaped glass eye, all those parts are interchangable and can be mixed every which way.

Make whatever version hilt you want to make out of whatever flash you want to use!

I agree with Dann, just make which ever you want. I personally don't care about having the correct stamp, I just want it to be structurally correct i.e. correct knurling on the button. I'm not knocking those who do what that perfect version, but you have to decide how far you want to take it.

Currently affixing the grips for an ANH ;)
