Dexter Morgan cargo pants

I've seen many different pictures of the olive colored G-Stars. None of them look the same. But olive is olive.

Is there a chance that the correct color is actually the ones up for sale right now in 33/32? Those ones look closer to the tundra color as well and after watching the episode with Dexter chasing Trinity around before he kills that guy with the hemmer, they seem to be tundra colored and a thicker material.

I know it is fast, but when Dexter is running up the steps after viewing the security tapes in that episode, you can really see it good. From what I noticed, the back of them pants is what separates them from the others.

If you look at the auction I mentioned you can see that while they're both described as olive, the ones from the seller you bought from is selling them made of ripstop while the other ones are made of cotton. It's entirely possible they used both, as the really high res publicity still of Dexter in the apron looks pretty clearly like the ripstop ones, but the ones I mentioned in the episode look a lot more like the cotton version.

Also, how will you be offering replicas? making them yourself or contracting out? If you do get the interest, how much will they run?

I thought that originally too. The first pair or G-Stars that I bought are cotton ripstop, but its hard to tell if you are more than 1 foot away. They look like your average twill from a distance. Also, the model/style/part number on every one of the auctions for olive was the same. No matter what the pics made the fabric look like.

Like I said, we'll see how they are once they arrive. I post plenty of shots.

As far as replicas, I would be making them myself. I have 16 years experience sewing. Feel free to check out my Jack Sparrow thread ("No More Dreads") if you'd like to see some of my work. I'll only do it if I can match the fabric. So far, cotton ripstop is not so easy to find. Let's keep any other questions to PM's since I don't want to clutter this thread. :angel

My second pair of G-Stars arrived today. These are finally the correct ones, and they fit! I was worried they would be too small in the waist.

Sorry they're just cell pics, but here's a comparisson with the AA army henley, washed java, and olive.

And a shot of just the olive.. of course the color turned out different. This is a weave I'm not familiar with.

Yeah, they're the olive. The listing said they were ripstop, and many of the listings I've seen have said they were ripstop. The tag says:

art no. 50112-294-345
style: raff 5620
fabric: army pk worn in
color: olive
season: 081

Original retail price 99.90 EURO... around $140.

Can someone who has the G Stars post a color swatch thing close to match? I can't tell and I'm trying to get a pair made in 1:6 scale.

Is this close?

Definitely more green. And I doubt a solid color image on a monitor will be helpful in color matching. Might need a pantone book for that.

If anyone wants a pair of season 1 lucky brand cargo pants in size 34x33 there is a pair on eBay right now. Also a regular khaki color of the same ones in 33x32.

Thanks for the heads up, I just grabbed them. Now to find the weird S1 crouched promo photo black ripstop G-Stars.

Nice! Glad you got them. I've been after a pair of these lucky brands for a while but they are never in my size. :(
I keep my eyes open all the time for both g stars. I'll keep you updated of I come across the promo ones.

I'm surprised to see them in my size. The search for the G-Stars was like wading through a giant bin of baby sized clothes looking for one adult sized pair of pants.

i feel this way with my small size lol. if you happen to ever come across the luckys in between a 30-32 waist and same for length should let me know :) really want a pair

Sorry to bring back a old thread. My name is Justin I just joined 2 days ago. Anyway after watched whole Dexter seasons I told myself that I wanna be Dexter for Halloween this year. Yesterday I spent all day research on what outfits, kill knives and etc. I spent all morning today trying to find a pant. I think I got lucky and found exactly same Lucky Brand cargo pants that Dexter wear on Ebay today. I actually make a best offer and won the item. Can anybody tell me if I actually won the right pant?
