Disney Star Wars Parks and/or Website Products

The Kylo Ren Reforged helmet is listed on the website as of a few minutes ago.

Here it is if anyone is interested:

A couple of acquisitions at the parks this weekend.

Last year they came out with a very limited run of trooper popcorn buckets for May 4th. It took 8 months but they finally brought them back to Hollywood Studios.

At this time of the year, Epcot has their Arts Festival. I was able to pick up this print and get it signed by the author.

Fog

Oil painter Rob Kaz grew up in New Jersey but moved to Florida for college in pursuit of warmer weather and sunshine. and he stayed.

He has been painting professionally since around 2009 when he decided to quit his job and take a leap of faith.

In the years leading up to that moment, Rob had spent a number of years in small animation studios, but he'd never planned a career in art. In fact, Rob studied criminal justice in college and, upon graduation, planned to take a role in law enforcement.
But when a hiring freeze occurred, Rob's life took an uncertain turn. Then, one day. while a real estate agent was showing his parents' house, the prospective buyer asked who had painted the art on the walls (Rob did) and offered him a job on the spot at his startup animation studio... and Rob accidentally landed a career in art.

Because Disney had recently relocated their animation studios to California and many animators chose to remain and work in Florida, Rob found himself working alongside
*quite possibly the most talented artists l've ever known right there in those smalls studios." Their influence proved Invaluable.

While at the studios, Rob had the opportunity to work in many areas of film. In particular, the time spent in character creation with environments heavily influencing his painting style. Eventually, Rob landed a sought-after role as a character artist creating human likeness in video games.

Largely self-taught and perhaps best known for his original characters, Rob says the privilege he's been granted to paint Disney and other licensed characters does not escape him.

"As a lifelong Disney fan with a great appreciation for the artists who created these characters, I make a concerted effort with each painting to pay full respect to their creators and their intents with the stories they originally told. I want to believe that if they saw my paintings, I'd get a nod of approval."

When he paints, Rob considers story first. "It's important to me that what's on my canvas is more than a pretty picture - I want a story to be told - one that perhaps is loose enough for collectors to build upon as they view the scene. And I want them to connect with the story - that's why I paint scenes that personally make me happy knowing others might have similar experiences." And when you look even deeper, "1 want you to notice technique, lighting, color, composition, brushwork and softness."

"Most importantly, I want the artwork to leave you smiling."
