First off. Howard, Thank You! Your kindness is truly appreciated!
Now, on to the painting. I took an acrylic black and a paper towel. Dabbed the towel and filled in the lines, then wiped away the excess. Took the towel and added paint, let it become almost dry and did a quick wipe of the watch just to highlight a few key areas. Next, on to the spray paint. Took some Dark bronze metallic and misted the watch from four feet away. Quick bursts for not more than a second at a time. Kept the watch spinning so that we got an even coat all round. Next, took a can of Rustoleum red primer and did the same, just not as much. Next came satin black and did the same as the dark bronze... The coats were light enough that the original black wash still shows through. Now a clear coat. Using a matte finish clear to seal the acrylic paint and keep it all blended together. The watch is not shiny and feels "dry" to the touch.
