Help with Jayne Cobb Serenity sling/bandolier

Hi folks,

Starting to work on my Jayne Cobb Serenity outfit. Has the buckle/quick-release thing on his sling/bandolier been identified? I'm failing find anything via google. I seem to remember a commentary or featurette on the DVD release mentioning where it came from, but my copy is in storage right now.

I made one of those out of a bigfoot. Hope these help and just ask if you have any more questions. {People helped me when I got started late.

This is made from a parachute harness, if you find someone else building one, each chute has two. I can tell you the cross is an Ethiopian Cross and the ribbon (I'll attach pics). Just dye the chute black

I made one years ago and remember I had to modify the parachute harness. I think I moved the ring. I can’t remember for sure.
