I don't think the movie needs a reboot at all but I still think they should have chose somebody other than Ryan Reynolds. If I was casting it I would have gone with Gerard Butler.

Really though, another remake. With all the great written works out there that would make great movies and franchises they have to make a reboot. How can they not venture out and try something new.

They do reboots because they already own the rights to the movies and don't have to pay a writer.

Yeah I knew it had been in the works. I was just surprised that I couldn't find a thread on it and even more surprised to see Ryan Reynolds attached/in talks to star in it.

I'd vote for Kevin McKidd as Connor (heck, have a ROME reunion and get Ray Stevenson for the Kurgan while you're at it) if there had to be a remake.

Love the original, but considering the sequels it's pretty unlikely a remake would be the worst HIGHLANDER film out there.

You know that won't happen. The music'll be rap or the garbage that passes for rock these days by a flavor of the month band.

I'd go see that. Definitely should have a Scottish guy play Connor if they're doing a remake and McKidd would be an EXCELLENT choice.

I'd like to see someone like Scott Adkins, an under rated martial artist, as Kurgan.. I think pulling of something like he did in Undisputed II would fit Kurgan..

Awesome Martial Artist and is pretty damn good with a Blade..

Maybe someone like Sam Elliott / Chris Kristofferson as Ramirez..
