Is Rustoleum Filler Primer Enamel or Acrylic?

Hi guys,

I have scoured the web trying to find an answer to this and can't. I either get contradicting answers or nothing.

Does anyone know for sure if Rustoleum 2 in 1 Filler Primer is acrylic or enamel or laquer? I know it's oil based but don't know how to tell otherwise and their website doesn't seem to indicate.

Also, same question for rustoleum automotive primer.

It's enamel, or "enamel compatible", for those that consider enamel to refer only to topcoats. Pretty much you can assume that all Rustoleum stuff is enamel and all Duplicolor is lacquer, but the easy way to tell is what solvent it says for cleanup. Rustoleum is mineral spirits and I believe xylene, and Duplicolor is lacquer thinner, for instance.

Ok awesome.. That explains probably why I'm having issues with my alclad ii black gloss base which is laquer, on top of it. I need to switch to a black gloss enamel or Acrylic instead and I think I will have better luck.
