In the vein of 'and other characters' mentioned above, I need to do a build of Fury Road's Valkyrie character, played by Megan Gale seen here . 1. Left hand (glove? her left hand seems fine in other footage) seems to be sharpened bone on the index and middle fingers. 2. Rifle: I'm not sure on make of the rifle, large lever makes it look similar to a Rossi Rio Grande (?) & is that a white feather near the ejection port? 3. Shoulders- seem to be either black fur or combination of fur and feathers. This one is really tough for me due to lack of available footage. Any insights or analysis would be really appreciated. I'm not sure but I don't think that's a 30-30. Looks like a larger cal like a Winchester 86 45-70 possibly.

I was able to find a picture of the rifle in profile and I think you're right. Hers seems to have same swoop in the stock as well as same rear sights. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Anybody have thoughts on that hand or clothing?

Nice, that jacket looks great! If they're interested I bet they could get a lot of business off this board alone. Not a lot of options for an accurate RW jacket.

I ended up with a South Beach Leather jacket. It's alright. Here's some work thats been done so far.

Still need to chop the arm, add the patch

The Schrade schf9n is about 2 inches longer than the Chris Reeve and it is evident

Awaiting a shoulder plate to present itself while I scour ebay for 'close enoughs'

Good job, man. Love the weathering. If you want to make some of the details more accurate, the right tan pistol mag pouch on the shoulder should have the elastic strap cut off and the black pistol mag pouch on the left side should have the elastic strap in place for the nebulizer hose to go under. On the knife sheath if you remove the screw that holds the plastic on the inside in place you can attach a zip tie through it and wrap it around the shoulder strap like how it is in the film. Looks great though buddy. Can't wait to start mine.

Sure. You can make out the zip tie in the screw hole in this set I posted earlier.

Can anyone (Comicguy, Noaton) that owns one of the M83 SADF assault vests tell me how you roll and secure all the misc straps and tabs on this thing?

Once you roll the strap into a nice little roll, how do you secure it?

Once you roll the strap into a nice little roll, how do you secure it?

Might be easier to explain in a video but wrap the strap over the buckle and put the end of the strap under it, though the slot ,then start rolling tightly. The more you roll, the slack over the buckle will decrease and then you just tuck the roll inside it until its tight and secure. Hope that helps.

I can't really add to that, those rolls were interesting. They're pretty simple to figure out once you start messing with them, though.

So here's a better look of the jacket I've been working on to make as accurate as possible.

I'm extremely happy with it. Being able to oversee the process and make sure all the details were correct definitely paid off in the end. It cost more than it would have if I dealt with someone overseas but I doubt I would have got the same results. I got an accurate quality leather jacket. I plan to get another made which I will weather Fury Road style. This one will be my casual jacket. If you like what you and want to get your hands on one have a look in the classifieds.

Max's Guns - Quick Question - is there a consensus on what pistols Max uses?

I think we know its a Beretta - maybe a Type 92?

What about the Glock? (sorry full size Glocks all kinda look the same to me)

In the scene in the trailer where Max is emerging from under the diamond plate panel (presumably inside the war rig), he is holding 2 guns.

One could go in the condor holder, but anyone have any ideas on where the other gets stashed? I haven't seen a shoulder holder. Please tell me it doesn't get stuck in the waistband of his pants.

Can't be sure until we see the film but I think he probably has the Beretta and picks up the Glock along the way. I didn't notice a rail on the Glock so I think it's a Gen 2. Looks like a Glock 19 to me.

I'm so excited for this. Can't believe we're finally less than 3 weeks away!

Something else I was thinking about... I hope Max actually uses the shotgun more throughout the movie than just in the beginning when it malfunctions. Aside from the shoulder plate, it really is one of his major trademarks.

Since we've all been going thru all the minute details of the FR costumes, here's something kinda funny to ponder...

Has anyone ever wondered what the leather jacket is that George Miller ALWAYS seems to wear? It seems every pic of him on the FR press junket he has it on, and he also wore it for Happy Feet interviews and on the set of FR









Maybe it's HIS "battle jacket" that he wears when he is talking to press. I think it may be a Bernini. Any guesses? LOL
