Nice! Very well done but it looks too clean!

You're the first person I have seen tackle this in a long time. I made one *years* ago for my brother-in-law and only at the end did I think about taking pics to make a tutorial. I have been trying to find time to make another (and take pics this time) and I ever have most of the parts set aside. I added lights to the panel on mine for extra fun.

If I ever do get the chance to make another, I wanted to add a motion detector with a sound chip so it "talks" when you get near it.

yeah i know its too clean i'm not that good at weathering, so rather than ruin it, i've kind of gone for the just-bought-a-few-weeks-ago look

well as i've completed my full size gonk i couldnt resist building some smaller versions tried a bit more at the weathering thing on the medium size one too, think it looks good, a bit more like its had a hard life

the smallest one is about 18 inches tall and the medium one is about 26 inches tall

Cute! I bought a couple of small bins from Ikea with the idea of making a tiny Gonk, myself. One of those things I'll probably never get around to working on.

OMG! the baaby Gonk is so cute!
Heres my version we used for our fanfilm. tried to get it as accurate as possible.

Used him in several scenes and painted him 3 different colors.
I even made a open compartment to see his drive motor detail

OMG! That is brilliant! I've been working on my Jawa on and off for years. (he's been mostly done for a long, time now, I've just been fussing over the details. ) And I've been really fighting doing a Gonk, because I just don't have the room for one, but I never thought of a mini gonk.
