Maltese Falcon, The

I used metallic binding combs, which also doesn't look accurate:

those look correct to me based on the vintage examples, what looks wrong to you?

Also, great work here. But, I can't believe we've found images of every month except April March. Really, what are the chances?

Thanks!

I incline more to the PVC type, but it does look good with the metallic one too.

I think you meant the photo for March. For now I'm happy that I found a partial photo, but I hope we will find the full photo.

Thanks
Yes I noticed it looked a bit big comparing to the box size (but it was one I had available at home...)
Did not know it was attached with some sort of a staple
Maybe will (re)do it, but not for now

Did a quick job with mine. I had a red string that I pained blue with a sharpie (you can see some of the blue rubbed on to the inside staple area), then both ends were melted with a lighter to prevent the string to unravel, and finally I used a generic staple that I reshaped with a plier to attach the string from the inside:

Just noticed that I added the wrong order (actually taken from the TWA publicity brochure ==> Brochure: Transcontinental & Western Air (TWA), “Offset for color” produced by Hopper Paper Co. and McIntosh Paper Co.. Paper, ink. Purchase, SFO Museum Collection. 1995.43.13 a l.) of the photo/illustration descriptions seen on the front cover. I already updated post #51 with the corrected front cover (quick jump here ==> Maltese Falcon, The). The back cover was also replaced, as the lower plane image was corrected and further cleaned up.

More corrections I made to the calendar, more exactly August had only 29 days (doh!), so I corrected August (big month) and July/September (small month). Post #51 was updated with these 3 pages (quick jump here ==> Maltese Falcon, The). I also updated the back cover on post #51, because I found the top plane in better resolution, but I had to remove the landing gear, then add the background clouds, the red writing and the propeller effect:

I managed to do both inside covers. The front inside cover describes the photos/illustrations from each month (the info was compiled from period papers like brochures, time tables, magazines, postcard and so on). The back inside cover contains the calendar for 3 years (1939, 1940 and 1941) as per the description from WorthPoint:

The layout of the back inside cover was inspired by this screencap:

I was lucky enough, after countless hours and days, to find several sources of the photos/images seen on each page from an advertising campaign booklet for TWA (found this on eBay with 9 images and on a TWA archive site with only a brief description and a list of all 12 images -

I was just on Worthpoint again, and I don't think your month order is correct.

Also here's the inside back

I managed to redo the calendar with the correct order of the pages and covers:

Except the covers and March, all the pages are at a lower resolution, but good enough for printing at full scale.

And my replica:

I was in a hurry and printed the front inside cover before I realized that the order should be rearranged and changed with the new photo explanation. I printed the updated info on a self-adhesive paper and added to the inside cover (if you zoom in, you can see the paper added to the cover).
