MR X-Wing

Well it's hit and miss with MR on this stuff.
I saw the photos of the MR TOS E prototype at vegas...and it ultimately looks better
than the release. So you can't always hope the prototype will substantially improve.

Same with the prototype Phaser. The p1 looked just fine on the prototype.

Hope the x-wing turns out awesome.

Any updates on the MR x-wing? Does anyone have a ballpark on the price of the x-wing?

I just called Bryan on his cell and the X-Wing is on!!!! Some other good news, Lucas approved us doing a Dooku FX and a Qui-Gonn FX!! Now this doesn't mean it will happen because we have to have it done by the end of he year but we are going to work our hardest to see that it does!

Thanks for the update. So happy to hear that the XWing will happen. That's pretty good news. Fingers crossed that a SS Slave One is still possible, too.

Looks nice, i agree, i think MR should ship it in primer too, the factory paint shop will find it hard to replicate the detailing on this one, X wings are super tough to paint if you want 'em studio scale!

Understandable statement.....but had they done so, You would be staring at a Gorgeous Falcon & Slave one thinking...IF ONLY THEY MADE THE XWING!


When you see this XWING in person, you will be happy they made it.
I saw the latest version of it a few days ago.

There has never been an XWING that looks as nice as this one. There are a couple of things that need tweaking, but over all everyone was really impressed with it.

You might think so from that photo. Partially true, and you can only use what is available as most of the models no longer exist or are not available.

However, the REAL RED 5, or whats left of it, was Made available to MR and photographed extensively. I wont comment how much was left, it would break your heart.

But what wasnt there was already photographed, so you will be able to match the model made to the reference everyone has on hand.

Believe it or now there are pictures that have not been widely circulated that have been held by ex-ILM model builders.

I have been squirling away reference for years and I thought I had everything. I was sadly mistaken.

I like the revised larger scale version cockpit & pilot, but the x-wing itself should match the studio model. Paint job to. I'm hoping that we see some beauty red 5 shots of the prototype to use as reference for our own buildups. So little released images exist of either the red 4 or 5.

Actually I think it's just the opposite. Frank can slap me silly if I'm wrong, but there are details that most of us assume are universal to all X-Wings that, it turns out, are different on Red 5, and it's going to have those.

I think he was speaking about the cockpit. As you can see on the pics of the proto, they did the cockpit of the 4ft version.
