Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - BTTF

Wow, thank you kind sirs !

Your comments encourage me to continue ...... :cry:darnkids

How did you go about hanging the slamball bat? I just got one too and still deciding how to display it.

Just like the JP cane, fishing line and a nail are my friends :thumbsup

You sir, might just be a genius. I seriously struggle to come up with ideas on how to hang things like this so simply.

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - BTTF

This is unbelievable :D Amazing collection.
Could you please tell me where I could find or what I might search to find an iron man picture like that blue and red one you've got by the curtains?

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - BTTF

Outstanding! Love the hook and fishing line idea.

Are your framed paper props glued down? I was told if they are not glued down they tend to buckle over time in the frame (Depending on the size).

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - BTTF

Alan's collection seems to grow exponentially. I think it's alive.

Thanks, but you are wrong :lol.

Not a genius at all - just too darned lazy to construct something made out of classy acrylic hooks etc etc .... so, necessity due to laziness becomes my mother of invention, and presto, enter one nail and fishing line :lol

You should see what I can do with some velcro :lol

Sure :). Paper props forum, Iron Man thread :thumbsup

Yep. Glued with normal stick glue to sheets of A4, nothing special :)

Sorry to interject off topic to your thread Alan..
But I have some experience to add to this question.
Small paper props are usually going to be ok unglued. Size of the item, size of the frame and humidity will play as factors. I have a home theater/prop room in my garage. While it is insulated, drywalled, air conditioned and converted to a regular room, during the scorching Florida summers, it can get extremely humid. Even during the most humid months, my small paper props in frames have held up. I try not to glue most incase I decide to sell them later. Now, while those are just resting and "setting" behind the glass in the frames, they have not shown any signs if warping or rippling. But.... I also have autographed movie posters. No frame shop would dry mount them as they lose all value. I guess you are NEVER supposed to mount a signed piece as the value plummets? Not too sure :) So those posters are framed and not glued down. Those are all rippled and wavy. I have tried everything, even bought a dehumidifier to run for summer months, yet the posters still warp.

No worries Rich :) It is prop related after all :thumbsup

Besides, the sexy mermaid says you can do whatever you want here :lol

I figured if you got mad, called me out, and told me that forum etiquette frowns upon hijacking a thread...

I would just say, " sorry.... I did not know... I don't understand.... the rules of etiquette must have changed... Oh poor me." :lol:lol:behave

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Stargate SG1 - The Mrs. finally snappe

The Goa'uld Rod of Anguish / Pain Stick from Stargate SG-1 is a cattle prod sort of torture device, capable of inflicting such pain on its victims, that it makes their mouths and eyes irradiate a bright light of energy.

This is the one

(we're both Stargate fans :))

And I love her for being a good sport :love

(Me clowning around is, of course, normal :lol)

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Stargate SG1 - The Mrs. finally snappe

Damn that is quite a collection!!!!

Love the fact the pain stick is next to the 3 seashells :lol

Where did you get the ancient shield device? Been thinking of tackling that one, but if someone offers em, saves me some trouble :)

Also noticing a severe lack of Superman and Supernatural props....:darnkids

:lol

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Stargate SG1 - The Mrs. finally snappe

:lol It's placement somehow seemed fitting :lol

..., but, but, but I have your Crystal Chris :cool, and I have the Phantom Zone and the Booth Changing Pic. Sorry, no room for a suit on a mannequin :lol

The Shield I got a couple of years ago from eBay IIRC (?). It's acceptable I suppose, but if you tackle it in real glass ..... count me in :lol
