NEED help with Road Warrior costume

To weather the chains, I'd suggest spraying them with some rust colored primer spray paint from about 18"-20" away. And try to not cover every square inch.

Then, another very light spraying with a flat black.

Last, take a small wire brush or file and lightly scrape through the paint in a few places to show the lines of metal. It should look worn and mistreated, but still in use.

Side note: if you have an airbrush, you can use cheap acrylics and anything you don't like you can wash off with Simple Green.

Just picked up a small bike reflector from a bike shop today.. I'll be adding that to the football shoulder pas soon.. more pics to come :)

Love what you are doing with the Wasteland Militia costume! Seems, Max had lots of small greeblies, keychains and trinkets attached to his jacket, his belt even had a small hatchet in the back, so that might be something worth adding. A costume like this demands tiny details. And I agree, adding something to the head, maybe a headband, eye patch, goggles, or military type cap might be a good idea. I can't make out the feet, but tall boots, or gaiters or even some softball shin guards might be a good idea to add as well.

Tough line to keep from crossing, keeping the costume feminine yet warrior-esque. Good job so far.

You gotta think, these were to be a practical modern armor made from scrounged up parts, but at the same time, you had to be able to move in it [unlike say, stormtrooper armor]
