Just received mine last week and I have to say it’s fantastic. I’ve seen a lot of replicas of the Maul saber and this is probably as perfect as it’s gonna get. Can’t wait to install it with electronics.

One question I did have is whether there were any official plans for pommel caps for the two halves when they are separated? If not I’ll probably work on a 3D printed design for it.

I’ve thought about replicating the ends of the split saber. There is some public reference out there for what the SFX split-apart prop looked like.

If I don’t, then I’ll publish some specs for you DIYers so you can have the accurate dimensions and angle offset for the buttons.

I’m assuming the end caps blobcat is talking about wanting would imitate the MR battle damaged saber.
Not screen accurate to EP1 but this is how it showed up in TCW.

Saberz while I was originally thinking of the MR design, after seeing your mock up I definitely like the idea of sticking with accuracy to the SFX prop design for the endcap. It’s the best way to stay true to the spirit of the rest of project M. Count me as interested. Also having the specs for DIY purposes would be cool as well (already took the calipers to it lol)
