Show your Dr. Who props!

In terms of props…part of me thinks THE MOMENT is just shy of the Lament Configuration…more area effect…more than a mere bomb.

I want to see a Dr. Who spaceship manual.

That's the best mod for that function I've seen! I have two of these arriving, one being a knock-off from Wish, so I'll probably attempt this on that one.
Okay, so I couldn't make that exact mod work, but I found another process that works pretty well. Basically, it involves making a small hole above the button, screwing in the slider just above the button so that when pressed down, it activates the unit. I rotated the main unit so that it aligns with the slider channel, and voila! I also replaced the original white LED with a blue one, and took off the speaker wires so I could hook on new ones to replace the original plastic helix. Went with red & black, as I much prefer them to the later yellow wires.

I'm not very good at electronics, if it's more complex than an on off switch, battery, & light, I'm at a loss. I need help making my "revelation of the daleks" Necros bomb. Tell me if this diagram looks right, if I need a certain resistor, or more. Anny & all info will be a grate help in finishing this prop.

I'm working on the stattenheim remote control, or recall disc. This is just the first version & I'm planing on making the sphere Holder to mount it in.

Me and my girlfriend used the Build Your Own Sonic Screwdriver kit to make ourselves a "modernized" version of the classic sonic screwdriver for my alternate 9th Doctor, and one for her version of Romana. The scanner was bought from Etsy, and I had added a light up screen, unfortunately the electronics died and I have to replace them, so apologies for not showing it lit.

This is an obscure one... the signal tracker from the episode Planet Of Fire. It was based around a Norelco Rototrack HP1601 electric razor from the 1980's. I found the correct razor on eBay. They are pretty cheap. The greebles are 3D printed, and the electronics is based off an Arduino Nano.

Phil Sim (production designer) was hired because they were after a move feature film vibe. I got to go to the Dr Who warehouse to look at all the consoles , it’s seamed over time that the consoles were getting smaller and more and more like a shape covered in junk. (No offence) so me and Phil talked about swinging it back to the generation we grew up with Pertwee and Baker. Cleaner lines, all the switch’s are analog and organised wile still leaving it quirky. I tried to make it look like in parts the Dr had modified and added extra parts over time. Phil added the crackle paint finish as a hint to an organic origen.
I also fought hard to bring the Victorian hat stand back covered in old Dr props the scarf and hats thinking it would bring a bit of warms back to the set but the show runner wanted a duke box.

I thought it was pretty cool how many of the parts from the Pickwoad side console panels ended up on this console. Kind of a nice nod to previous Doctors, even if unintentional!

There aren’t t any part from any other console on the new one. There are a few bit from Meg 2, and even some R2D2 parts. All the consoles are put in storage or go on display you can’t take things off them. Most of the nobs are vintage 1960. Some of the controls are castings from my own collection. There’s some aircraft scrap and a tone of laser cut frames. But nothing from any of the other consoles. It was meant to give the feeling of some heritage to the hole franchise though.

Sorry I mean the side panels that the Pickwoad console room had, not the main console itself.

You can actually see the parts on the picture you shared, and I was able to match the weathering pattern to them. I imagine those panels were all stripped retaining the actual console. (Not trying to argue, just honestly an observation while looking at all the parts!)

And honestly I may not have noticed myself if I hadn't been replicating the Pickwoad in crazy detail, which I haven't shared much here terribly. The biggest thing for me is never knowing WHAT those spinners on the 360 degree plates were....haven't been able to find one! (There are 3 each on each side panel and 1 on the console. Bob Thorne had confirmed to me that the BBC bought his entire stock of those too! ha!)

I assure you absolutely nothing was taken from any other set. But I can’t tell you what those peace’s are. There from the aircraft scrap yard . The red switch’s are from an airliner food trolly , the dial with the handle where from this 1940 telecommunication thing used on dark material. The black flat part are off the back of router. Even if I’d wanting to use part from another Who show I would be aloud. Because the storage facility wasn’t part of our production . I had to get permission just to look around. They may be the say objects but the are not the actual ones.
If you look on one of the panels there an aircraft throttle unit. I’ve used it on 3 films but there not the same ones.
A lot of the nobs came from molds of my own collection

You can see the throttles here on the Russian Qin jet from black widow.
