That's the best mod for that function I've seen! I have two of these arriving, one being a knock-off from Wish, so I'll probably attempt this on that one.
Okay, so I couldn't make that exact mod work, but I found another process that works pretty well. Basically, it involves making a small hole above the button, screwing in the slider just above the button so that when pressed down, it activates the unit. I rotated the main unit so that it aligns with the slider channel, and voila! I also replaced the original white LED with a blue one, and took off the speaker wires so I could hook on new ones to replace the original plastic helix. Went with red & black, as I much prefer them to the later yellow wires.
I'm not very good at electronics, if it's more complex than an on off switch, battery, & light, I'm at a loss. I need help making my "revelation of the daleks" Necros bomb. Tell me if this diagram looks right, if I need a certain resistor, or more. Anny & all info will be a grate help in finishing this prop.
I'm working on the stattenheim remote control, or recall disc. This is just the first version & I'm planing on making the sphere Holder to mount it in.
Me and my girlfriend used the Build Your Own Sonic Screwdriver kit to make ourselves a "modernized" version of the classic sonic screwdriver for my alternate 9th Doctor, and one for her version of Romana. The scanner was bought from Etsy, and I had added a light up screen, unfortunately the electronics died and I have to replace them, so apologies for not showing it lit.
