So I had a few wiring issues with the lights in the door, but tracked it down to a loose soldering connection.

I've masked off all the areas that need to be protected before I give it the first coat of primer.

And I've filled and sanded down the hinges/magnet in the door - and given it a good week to contract.

As you can see, there's some small dips in the deepest filled holes. So I'll be filling these in and giving it another week to harden/contract before sanding back again.

So I've got all the dips out and given it it's first 2 coats of primer.

Apart from a little nick which caught the hinge (and needed further sanding so it wouldn't scrap the paint of the hinge) all looks good.

There's just a coat of lacquer to seal it, but I'm really pleased how this has come out compared to my static medical tricorder.
