Believe it or not, this is an officially merchadised item. I used to have one. It was part of a Star Wars (obviously) poster that you can color yourself. The mask was a paper punch-out that you assemble yourself and attach to the poster. I received that gift from my Grandmother many many years ago when I was a kid. That picture brings back memories. In fact, I'm surprised that mask is still intact.

"Intact" there is to be taken somewhat loosely, right?

Wait a minute. This helmet actually has provenance? I'm sure someone picked it out of the LFL dumpster to save it from destruction. :lol :confused :lol

it's funny to think about how much this would be worth if someone was goofing off with it near the set of one of the films and it somehow managed to sneak it's way on screen in some kind of backdrop fluke. we'd all be drooling over it then :lol

The real question is does anyone have the nerve to ask the seller if it's a Ralph MaQuarie concept piece?

Hang on... Theres something wrong with it and I'm surprised none of you noticed it :rolleyes

Its missing its tusks

Well, since it is obviously a reveal version and the neck-piece is missing, then it is pretty simple why the tusks are missing... :lol

I like the way the dome curls out on the edges near the face, nice touch. Not screen accurate but a creative touch nonetheless.

This actually IS a screen used piece. It was used in the "Jeff Foxworthy, Redneck Star Wars Spectacular". It came out right after the Holiday Special.

well, some lucky stiff got this beauty vader helmet for $1.00 - wow...I think someone bid on it more out of curiosity than anything else.
