Because I wanted to.
AND...because I thought he might've been someone else who likes to jump into trouble threads.
It's what admins do, but they don't usually tell you about it.
I actually got 3 different locations for his IP, so I still don't know who he is.
I was hoping he was in MS. cause we don't have enough props and costumes here.
Anyway...

HE is a SHE, so it looks like your detective work is as crappy as your resin trinkets over ethics philosophy.

Birdie - apparently HE is a HE, Kelly (and a couple of other names he uses) isn't a girl's name in his case. :)

But I am a she -- thanks Birdie. I'm still hiding my location with my IP here in Cincinnati . . . whoops.

add me to the list of irritated people.

35$ down the crapper, and since theres no funds in paypal, they are going to "pursue various means" and they cant tell me what those are due to "privacy regulations", meaning my 35$ is again, down the crapper.

what just makes me wonder WTF is he has picks of the mold i was buying, a casting made with the mold. all it takes it putting that in a box, and printing out a usps label. its not like its a lot of work.

ive had my share of troubles with the post office before, but damn i never ignored emails or annoyed a customer enough to make em file a paypal complaint.

first bad experiance on the rpf buying wise since i have been here though. i guess thats a good thing, somehow.

He is now:

"THEWRAPOFCONS" has been removed from the RPF for not fulfilling orders or issuing refunds.

Although this has been an ongoing issue, the administration has attempted to contact this user on several occasions to help resolve the issues surrounding his outstanding orders to no avail. It has been decided that any further continuance of the users membership would be a disservice to the RPF and the only remaining recourse is to permanently ban this member.

If anyone here is still owed items the following contact info was publicly listed by the user in a recent thread:

Email Address: thewrapofcons@aol.com[/b]

Is he banned from here yet?

I knew this guy was bad apples just from personally dealing with him.

Multiple names, different addresses (both paypal and real world), excuse after excuse, lying about shipping times, offer trades instead of cash refunds...

Good riddance.

The warning was made on the super hero board in question and was met by admin censor/edits and banning... It wasn't only on PropEd, but the members of that board didn't want to hear it...

Good luck to everyone in getting your stuff. My heart goes out to you all, whether you spent $10 or $1000 it makes no difference. Getting ripped off is getting ripped off and I hope eveything works out for you all.

I agree. Seems everytime we ban a scammer it takes too long to arrive at a ban. However Banning does little to stop a scammer. Outing, on the otherhand does.

Sadly 99% of the damage is usually done by the time the situation goes public. We'll suspend JY access relatively quickly and then it's a manner of assessing the situation. Last thing we want to do is shut the guy's RPF account down and cost affected members a line of communication through RPf posts, messages and email. What we hope is that at least some members will be able to recover something during the "outing" period. When it becomes apparent that that is no longer the case, and there is little or no chance for any restitution, then banning is discussed among the moderators and a decision is made.
