Thunderbird 2 scratchbuild 40 inch

FANTASTIC WORK - would you mind sharing your techniques for painting? The paint looks like it was molded into the parts - metal-smooth. I havent been able to get that look using water-based acrylics and dual-action airbrush - the paint is just too granular unless I water it down which then risks running. Thanks in advance!

You're going fast at it and no wonder since it's has to be ready for the 18th of April! Beautiful castings for sure:)

Congratulations on doing such superb work. It blows me away. I am looking forward to seeing this when it is finished.:thumbsup

Awesome work.

You must be sand-bagging us. It's hard to believe you are posting the current progress of your work... it's too fast! ;)

^agreed, love those shows, something about seeing puppets scream while burning alive, always cracked me up as a kid

It really looks like TB2 especially the front section, which is not an easy thing to achieve. Excellent work.

Ben, Truly wonderful work. Love the shape of the forward hull. Not many builders (and no commercial ones for that matter) get the shape correct. Saw the article on your models in Sci Fi & Fantasy Modeller. Would love to see your work in person one day.

Cheers,
Wasili
