What can I say Zimmer and Williams my two favorite composers.
I also like Elfman but some of the Batman scores didn't make the top 5 perhaps the top 10!
I do enjoy composers that write both scores as well as theme music for characters. John Williams did that for Star Wars trilogy and other movies he scored. Zimmer does the same but more so on the Pirates box set the fourth disk. He composed the music to match the characters rather than what was onscreen.
Judgement night! I don't even remember the movie! All I remember is it had Dennis Leary in it. LOL!
2 bands that shouldn't work together on each song!
Slayer and IceT?
Helmet and house of pain?
Sonic youth and Cypress Hill?
Biohazzard and ONYX?
Living color and frakking RUN DMC?????
Pearl jam and Cypress hill?
Dinosaur jr. and Del the Funkee homosapien?
Faith no more and boo ya tribe?
Just too cool. I really flipped out when that soundtrack came out.
The slayer and iceT song is still just as kick arse today!

Other than that...
Both Trons
All the OT SW
episode1 score actually was pretty good. (despite the movie being horrible, that landing scene music RAWKED)
Oh and Last action hero... One of Alice in Chains best. And Megadeths last really good song. Angry again.
Star Trek II
Empire Strikes Back
Batman 1989
Halloween 1978
Star Trek TMP
I'd like to give Batman Returns an honorable mention, as it expanded on the '89 version with some great themes... however, I have to give the spot to the first one as it was the original Batman from Elfman.
Star Trek gets two spots because they are two different composers with totally different themes.
Live & Let Die
Fistful of Dollars, (though The Good, The Bad & The Ugly has a better, more memorable theme Fistful is one of my all time favourite movies)
Blues Brothers
Empire Strikes Back &
Superman: The Movie
1 Scott Pilgrim V.S. the world (a great soundtrack if you haven't heard it)
2 Legend of zelda (old school version
3 Star Wars
4 Super Mario Bros
5 Metroid
as you can tell i'm a gaming nerd
Star Wars
Shaft
Thunderball (any Bond by John Barry would do)
Fistful of Dollars (any spagh. western by Morricone would do)
Thunderbirds (TV) (any Anderson by Barry Gray would do)
