Where are The Rest of the Firefly Props?

If anyone is interested I made my own little Firefly Prop forum.

I thought about creating a normal (boring) website to show off my props but decided against it, installed phpbb and created fireflyprops.net so that others could also post their Firefly stuff :D

I posted a couple of threads to get things going.
Feel free to join and post as much as you like (as long as it's Firefly/Serenity related ;))

Have fun!

Ooo, I'll join as soon as I'm not at work!

Oh, thank you for that one Mike! Made my day. :thumbsup :)

Regarding the BDM... I can actually swallow the "first" crewmember to get killed. It hit home where it should and made the situation more horrible. But he second, near the end, was very poorly handled- perhaps the sloppiest piece of work Whedon has ever done.

You're welcome but truth is truth, your metal Jubals were one heck of a warm up to Vera.
I still think you may have the best high-end replica Firefly/Serenity weapons collection.

Far as the BDM, the first death was a dramatic catalyst to move the story and main character forward, Mal had to be moved to quit running and face his enemies.
Death two was the author telling the audience to be scared, cuz he could kill 'em all!

Re: Wash's death in "Serenity". I am simply not willing to accept that in a fictional 'verse.
I look to fiction as entertainment. If I want unhappy endings, all I gotta do is wake up!
In my mind, until a film or series continuation says different, the crew put Wash in River's cryo-box to take him home for burial.
Along the way, they are informed by Simon that the same medical tech that produced Tracy's hopped up internal organs
("million credit meat" in Tracy's words) are accessible at Government research facilities.
Using a bit of improvisation and Book's ident card, they sneak Wash in in place of a politico who bumped a deserving recipient (ala PA's governor Casey who bumped everybody down the list for his transplant).
Alliance bashing, witty dialog and some gunplay ensues.
The Firefly 'verse returns to normal.

SNIP
The spectre of mortal danger causes the audience emotional commitment. And actual (character) death often discards it..

Well said, has a kind of poetry to it...

And now; back to our props. I have two movie grenades and Mals pistol magazine.
I also have a TV serenity control panel, a single bill, and three PALs.
Y'all know what I'm about to get.

And of course a bunch of my stuff is here:

Mostly replica items.

Ok, was it one of us that bought the pitcher?

Guilty, as charged.

I actually picked it up as a birthday present for a friend that is even yet more obsessed with the franchise than I am. That's saying something.

I've been trying to ID it on screen, but no luck so far. I don't think it's part of Inara's set dressing; at least I haven't seen it yet. So I have my work cut out for me.

With luck, the paperwork will be included, and may give the dates the prop was rented out. Then I can match it to an episode's production date. A long shot, I realize.

If anyone here manages to find it, I'd appreciate a screencap. Or at least a time code.

Also mine!

I haven't spotted it on-screen, but it looks SO Inara that it HAS to have come from the shuttle.

Nice score! Looks like we're going to have to keep an eye on this seller.

Maybe this is the answer to the question of where all the props are...

And yah, it does look like very Inara. At 20 inches, it should be pretty easy to spot.

Any status updates on the Alliance Food Bar?

When I contacted the seller last week, he thought it was a good idea to produce a soft negative he could sell that would let the buyer make their own edible bars. He'd had the same idea himself.

That's all I got.

Yup, that's it!
Now your two toughest choices are blue star or black star,
and star point up or star point down.

I'm doing blue star, point up.
As you can tell, I'm just funny that way.

I'll send a review of product when I get it.
Service thus far has been great.
(Seller acknowledged receipt of order and emailed to say item was sent and supplied a tracking number.)

I've bought from the FF Cargo Bay before and the service was perfect! Good communication, quick ship, friendly! Top notch! No worries! :thumbsup

Badger (Karl from fireflyarchive.com) just gifted me this fantastic addition to my collection. Am I giddy...? Oh yes. Yes I am.
