Who makes Mal's pistol from Firefly?

I built this movie version from the Wilco TV kit.

I also have Phillipes 1st generation cast of the stunt prop, so I was able to use that as reference to accurize the Wilco. The Wilco is the right size, the main accuracy issue (aside from the missing safety) are the grips, specifically the tops of the grips.

Still, with a bit of work you can make a pretty nice replica from the Wilco.

Could you elaborate on this please? Right now I'm working on a Denix LeMatt with Sidewinder's machined conversion pieces, but Mal's pistol is next on the list and it looks like the Wilco kit is the only game in town at the moment. I should have plenty of reference material to scratch-build a safety lever. If you could provide more detail on the differences between the grips on the Wilco kit and the cast-from-screen-used kit I would greatly appreciate it :thumbsup
