I'm not saying that Amazon Japan isn't entitled to raise their price to reflect what the publisher is charging. I'm asking whether Amazon in the U.S. is sticking to the original pre-order price for people who ordered before the price hike, as at least one person has suggested above.

I understand, but they are under no obligation to do so. Would be a nice customer service gesture if they did, though. :)
