I'm speechless. I cannot express into words how I feel.
Thank you! It truly was the cherry on top to complete the collection haha, it also fits amazingly well!I'm speechless. I cannot express into words how I feel.
I've been waiting to see if anyone would attempt doing that, and I'm extremely glad that someone has!Thank you! It truly was the cherry on top to complete the collection haha, it also fits amazingly well!
I debated for a long time to be honest haha. I even had painted the leather blue for a while. I think I've had the jacket for 2 years and I was dreading taking it apart, thankfully a friend helped me out so it was a little reassuring!I've been waiting to see if anyone would attempt doing that, and I'm extremely glad that someone has!
That was literally my reaction when I saw it lolll
I need that gif of Homelander with the caption "It's so peak"Someone had asked on instagram what it looked like with my class-5, bare in mind it's a size S, I am still on the look out for a M some day but it does sit nicely with the Guess!

By the way... how exactly DID you "lighten" the blue denim? That was the jacket prior modifications:

Once the jacket was completely deconstructed I used rit colour remover. I am sure I could have brighten it a lot more and dye grey if I wanted to but I had heard it could turn the colour indigo on jeans so didn't want to risk it. The blue in itself wasn't too dark to begin with tbh, barely left it for 20 min I think x)By the way... how exactly DID you "lighten" the blue denim?
Ohhhh you took it apart why didn't I think of that lolOnce the jacket was completely deconstructed I used rit colour remover. You kinda have to to replace the lining and leather patches haha, I just had to be careful over the existing thread and buttons and all, I mostly brushed on the areas and left itOhhhh you took it apart why didn't I think of that lol
At least one of us has finally been satisfied lol!!Any versions of the jacket serves its purpose to be honest. I think we're just a crazy handful ones looking for the perfect one.
I always liked the blue ish more than the grey, as a lot of behind the scenes pictures make it appear blue tbh, but I do like the headgoonie version in grey I have, but will put it for sale now that I've finally got my holy grail xD
Omg!!! This is crazy. I recognise that glass table top and those shorts anywhere haha. So glad this jacket got such a well deserving make over, it's come out incredible. So happy for youContributing here to show my real Guess jacket after updating the lining and leather patches.
Re-used the buttons that were originally on the leather patches, lightened up the blue and the darker jeans was also a vintage 80s George Marciano Guess jacket, so everything is 100% Guess apart from the Hollywood and paisley lining, but really happy how it turned out!
I know it's not screen accurate to keep the Guess logo on the pocket and I am pretty sure the Hollywood lining was going across the entire back but I really wanted to keep what originally identified the Guess jacket.

I've also given a good clean on the buttons but keep forgetting how effective brasso is haha, but most of the buttons were almost pitch black so might give it a little vinegar and salt lotion to bring back the vintage brass, but I do like the clean buttons!

That was me haha! I had to sell it during Covid unfortunately but like I said at the time I'm so glad it went to you. It was always a little small for me so I've been keeping my eye out for one a little larger.Ooh was it you who sold it to me a couple years back? And thank you! So happy how it turned out!
